Title: Trenched sucks.
Post by: Shuri on June 26, 2011, 02:20:12 PM
So after reading many positive impressions from shills gaffers, i bought this game. Turns out its an action game based on the tower defense system where you just set up your defense and shoot at waves of (lame) monsters. The mech designs are completely lifted from Chromehounds. and the mechs move super fast to the point of looking lame. It really does feel like they imported the original models from Chromehounds..

There's a bunch of variants monsters with pseudo bosses and thats it. The game feels like a flash game, except one worth 1200. DOn't get sucked in by the chromehoundish look, you only fight (from what I played) really dumb looking monsters that attacks in waves and bla bla bla.

Absolutely waste of money; and yet another case of the overhype by internet forums of a game made by a pseudo dev darling.

5/10

I never understood why critics fawn over tower-defence games. Then again, I never understood critics...

Shuri, hey.

(a) There's a thread for this which has been on the front page since the day before release.
(b) The nature of the game is readily apparent if you'd read that thread.
(c) The demo version of the game is also a ready means of discerning the game's content without paying money first.

Why not judge the game based on what it is, rather than what you were expecting?
