Title: When did Hip Hop stop relating to the normal joe on the street?
Post by: Cerveza mas fina on July 06, 2011, 05:47:37 AM
And become ONLY about big cars and shit? Ofcourse this element was always there, but it was about small time hussling and making. Like just surviving sometimes.

Look like Da Luniz rapped about broads having to pitch in so that they would roll a joint. Now everyone has choppers and 10 cars. I can't relate.

Worst thing about hip hop is how it's invaded pop and r&b ballads.  Why.the.fuck does every song have to have a rap verse out of nowhere?  It's fucking annoying.  Even Rebecca Black had it.

Pitbull is shitty club shit. Used to be stuff like that was not looked on fondly I think? Nobody big ups the rapper guy from Snap when talking about their influences but that's pretty much what Pitbull is the modern day equivalent of.

...this comparison is insulting to the dude from Snap, isn't it? Sorry dude from Snap.
