Will try.

Edit:

God I hate browsing an app and be greeted to "Top in-app purchases" leading into a long scammerrific list of "DLCs."

I haven't encountered a moment where I've felt that need to get any of the DLC.

That's good to hear, but I was referring to the app's page on the AppStore regardless of how it's presented in-game. Seeing it, especially if the list is freaking long and the game is fairly new, is always discouraging.

First impression after the completing the first level on easy: cool game

Second impression after the completing the second level on normal: this game owns

I expected nothing less from the people behind Infinity Gene. The presentation is twice as slick.

I stopped adding people to game center after the jailbreak borked it. I'll give it another try now.

This would probably play twice as better on an iPad.

I also hate to sound like a Sony shill but since IG was released on XBLA/PSN, I hope that someday this will too. I'd pay $5-$10 to play it on the Vita :-[

Presentation looks fantastic, actual gameplay looks extremely basic. I'd try it if it ever came on Android, at least.

Playing this on an iPad, w/headset, on hard, and nailing ad-libs is as good as portable and rhythm games can get. Hands down best iOS game I've played in a long time. Icon BrandNew :bow

@tiesto: the game's mechanics are pretty simplistic on lower difficulties, but when you crank it up and you start getting all the gestural prompts it gets really challenging. This game is tailored for a touch screen and the controls just works.

I actually prefer it on the iPhone.

this won't let my download it onto my 3gs because i need at least software version 2.0 and when i hook it up to itunes to update it keeps saying that i have the latest version, but in reference to itunes itself and not my phone :spin

It sounds like you're doing it wrong. If it's not prompting you to download the latest iPhone firmware, simply select your device on the left panel and click "update."

Edit: I like how I censored the name and left the phone number.

Edit2: there we go.

Why does the app shop require wifi anyway? Every other thing in the phone works over 3G, what's the deal?

Also: GROOVE COASTER... very nice. The music is mostly pretty good, with a few which have a "wtf, am I playing a mid-'90s Japanese racing game?" feeling to them.

I can't seem to get the swipe moves to register at the right time. I wish they had them in the Normal or Easy levels, so I could get used to the move at a slower timing.

Yeah, most of the tracks are really good ("I'd buy them" good), and I enjoyed playing through most of them, but my god Happy Smile almost gave me cancer. My favorites are Revenge Of Arkanoid (because of the crazy visuals resembling Arkanoid), I CANNOT APE, and the one with the Japanese character (GEKI?).

Great game. Will buy extra DLC tracks.

God I hate browsing an app and be greeted to "Top in-app purchases" leading into a long scammerrific list of "DLCs."

Shaddap you taco.

gave this a whirl last night. Enjoyed it more than Child of Eden w/Kinect, felt a bit sad

Also, FFS Japanese devs is it so DIFFICULY to use a goddamn dictionary once in a while!

I know right  :lol

these games don't have decent localization teams I suppose?

The credits look like they outsourced it, perhaps only to one guy.

However, having worked with Japanese companies for a little bit now, there is nothing like watching someone take all the laboriously edited text and then getting their own little groove on with LogoVista or Excite.jp, and sending all credibility into the toilet with five minutes of hasty revisions. "Oh, I didn't want to bother the localization guy!" FFFUUU...
