Title: classic simpsons is the greatest cartoon ever

they never stops airing simpsons episode here,NEVER,well okay sometimes they switch with futurama but it doesn't last long,as such i have ended up watching some episodes a gazillion of times and man some of these are good

i liked season 9 but it's probably nostalgia. it has a lot of episodes i'd watch as a teenager when they were airing the episodes in syndication back in 1997-1998. I'd watch every day, two episodes in a row. One hour block.

Season 9 has a lot of great episodes, it's just the first season when it gets to be....uneven.

"Lisa's Sax"
"Lisa the Skeptic"
"Lisa the Simpson"

I guess it helps that Lisa's my favorite character

I still watch seasons four through six every once in a while.  I think those three seasons are by far the best without a single bad episode in the bunch.

The thing about Homer is that he turns into a caricature of himself. I really like how in the early seasons, Homer is just a dumb guy with a big heart who tries his damndest to do good by his family even if he does it through ill means, accidentally or no.

Later seasons play up on the dumb angle far too much for my tastes.

I think the first Christmas episode or One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish are my favorite interpretations of Homer. In fact, I think seasons 1 and 2 are the most underrated seasons. People always talk about seasons 4-7, but I think seasons 1-3 have just as much heart and wit.

I still love the episode where Homer steals that sugar pile.  Every sugar pile scene was gold.
