Title: Music : Same song, different shit. Or Something. UPGRADES/DOWNGRADES

Yes, I'm know there's an infinite amount of these but want to look at ones where the same band rereleases and changes their own song to move it out of suck into awesome, or the other way round.

Mew - 156 - original from "Half the World is Watching Me" - mehish

Mew - 156 - redone on "Frengers" - Epic

Stars - Going going gone - origanal from "Nightsongs" - simplistic

Start - Going going gone - redone for Sad Robot - phater

and the reverse :

Chapterhouse - Something More - original - generic shoegaze noise but still a great track.

Chapterhouse - Something More - testicles removed. Never let the Cocteau Twins touch your tracks. Worst closing track ever - thanks. Apt for an album cover featuring a cat licking it's nuts.

I mostly know songs that got fleshed out or solidfied into a live version that surpases the studio cut. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for though.

Edgar Winter's Frankenstein -> Frankenstein 1984 was a bad idea.
