those are definitely nicer, but they are pricey. even more expensive than macbook airs (which is what they are competing with)

Not sure about the first question, and apparently it plays DMC4 at super high settings, so that's good enough for me. I'm used to never having a true gaming pc/laptop. I'm sacrificing a bit more power in order to have a 13" chassis laptop, which seems plenty portable for me.

I have four. One has a messed up headphone jack, for which Apple wanted an exorbitant sum to fix, 4 weeks out of warranty. The problem wasn't the build quality, it was Apple's repair policy.

I think you mean "tell me about your refurb PowerBook G4 again" -- that one was truly a lemon.
