it looks cool.
but, holy hell, what a soundtrack.

Eh, I'm getting tired of the same ol' thing from WayForward.
But, yeah, the music is awesome.

This looked much better in trailers.

nailed it

Platforming bits look janky as hell, and I refuse to believe the Giant Bomb guys aren't good at videogames. Also, it looks like they were trying for an anime theme to Bloodrayne, and it makes me smh when western devs try to do anime.

They really aren't... especially Brad.

The PSN version is out.
Controls feel a little stiff, but the game seems pretty good so far. They kept elements of the 3D Bloodrayne games, so the end result is a fusion of that and Castlevania. You can juggle enemies in the air, do head stomps, suck blood, launch enemies up and then forward (used to take out blade traps), dash, wall jump, and use guns. Initially you just go forward and take out waves of enemies, but traps and pitfalls get gradually introduced as you go.

I bought this. Played up to chapter 7 or 8 just now. It seems it okay, but it's nothing special so far. What sucks is that I'm halfway through the game and there has only been "two" boss battles. I say "two" because the second boss is the same as the first boss, except this time he has rocks covering his weak points that you have to destroy. The scoring system seems decent at least - it's kinda similar to Ninja Gaiden Black's. On each stage, there are a few battles that have several waves of enemies, and those fights have a timer, so you have to kill everything ASAP in order to get as many points as possible. There's also bonuses depending on how you kill the enemies, or if you get through the battle without taking any damage, stuff like that. Also, it's not hard at all so far.
Game's okay though. I'd probably like it more if it were $10 instead of $15.

Awesome composer, I saw him play live at a chiptune festival in NYC a few years ago.
