Title: I found it...I FOUND IT! Lost hidden nes game of my childhood!

HOLY SHIT!!!!!

I have been trying to remember what the fuck this game was for an eternity. All I remembered what was that the first level had white/silver backgrounds and you had a sword or something. I don't remember why I couldn't remember what it was because I beat the shit out of this game.

So I consulted my uncle, who introduced me to video games.

It was STRIDER.

I thought the game was okay. I liked Mario, Zelda and other nes games way more.

I liked Batman nes more than this.

Genesis version though, that's memorable.

Gimmick is always worth a bit of loving as well.

What NES stuff do you have? Any boxed? REAL interested in the "black box" early Nintendo games boxed/complete. My brother bought a lot of the NES games we own and so I want my own copies, since he'll be taking his shit with him once he gets a bigger apartment.

There's this SNES RPG that I remember my parents renting for me. The only image I have left in my memory is of these band of kids in some volcano area possibly with a monster(s) tagging along with them.

for me it is a game either on PC or Mac, old mid to early 90s.  it's a top down adventure/action game set on an alien-prehistoric world and you're a normal guy.  there was a jetpack power up.

I kept thinking it was called Prehistoric Bob, but I think I made that up as a kid.

haha, searching for it I found an old gaf thread where I asked.  I never checked it again but someone answered.  The game was called Power Pete.  Prehistoric Bob, what the fuck?

Aside from Strider, my first games were:

I actually remember going to Toys R' Us with my aunt to get Batman nes for my uncle's birthday. In order to get a game you had to get a slip and you'd take to the front desk or something.

I didn't have an NES growing up though.

The first system I owned was a Genesis.

I'm trying to remember some of the Genny games I rented as a kid.

I have about 150 NES games I need to sell - about 2 dozen are boxed. None of them are black box, tho.

did anyone ever play that old Viper racing game? the destruction model allowed you to crash your car into a small cube and still drive.  plus honking the horn would shoot out a metal ball or something.

We've still got my wife's NES. She had Contra, SMB1, 2, 3, Zelda 1 and 2, Sky Kid, Baseball, and Paperboy. I've picked up a few games for it over the years including Excite Bike, Crystalis, FFI, etc.
