Title: Gears of War Story

I cant be the only one that thinks the story/universe of this series is complete bullshit. I see reviews that go on about the story and characters and its like wtf, all of those things suck! blarrghhhhh

Gears 1 was you're in jail, then you're out of jail and kill space monsters.  Gears 2 was you're in a military unit or something, then you kill space monsters, but there are a third breed of glowing space monsters.  There was also an invisible robot in the second one that's always with you.  Also the manwall with a soul patch blubbered a lot.  Also a trucker fought a monster with a chainsaw staff.  Also Cole Train hijacked the radio at one part lol hes so crazy.

Gears 3 looks as good.  Reviews are pretty high if that's an actual metric for quality.  I kinda want it.

and how corny it was.  I honestly couldn't tell you anything else about the plot, and I actually enjoyed both games quite a bit.

Sounds awesome, I don't know what MAF is going on about. He's just jelly because only 15 people bought Space Marines.

First one had glowing wretches, the invisible robot thing and you're in COG from the beginning but they cuss you out at one point near the beginning for being an ex con.... Only played it recently  :-[

yeah, the game is for if you want to portray a roided up, giant man and kill shit. And thats fun! But jut don't take it seriously. Theres no point. Just have fun.

The story is shit in gears but who cares. The gameplay is quite good. At least campaign wise and co-op.

I guess but the same complaint could be leveled at tons of games and not just gears. I've always thought the Halo series was up its own ass in a much more annoying fashion than gears.

I never finished the first one, because in single player Dom is an ADHD-riddled, short-bus riding bastard with no shooting skill.

And in the second one, I got motion sickness during the tutorial.
