I was discussing with my sister the other day that it was a shame that they don't sell Yuengling beer in Kentucky, as it is so delicious. She then pointed out to me that I now live in equal distance from one town that sells beer as to another that sells beer over the state line (thus having Yuengling). For those of you that don't know, Jaybo and I live in a mostly "dry" area (see: regions that cling to the prohibition era like stink to shit) and going out to our local gas station and picking up a case of brew is not an option for us.
This brings to question though, what is the go-to beer for my fellow Borebros?

Racer 5 IPA (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/610/2751)
Six Racer 5s I drank, unwise--
Those are swirls that were my eyes
Hitachino White Ale (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/697/2013)
Light and creamy beer with hints of orange peel and clove.
Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/113/571)
A stone-cold classic. If you drink beer you should know this one already.
-
For a darker stout, I recommend Old Rasputin (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/112/412).
-
Budweiser
Cheap and readily available ANYWHERE.
-
PABST BLUE RIBBON (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/447/1331)
-
Boneyard RPM IPA
Deschutes Red Chair NWPA
Avery Brewing DuganA Imperial IPA
Fremont Brewing Interurban IPA

Simply the BEST.

I've got about 250 go-to beers, but the ones I listed are some of my current favorites.

The Hitachino White Ale sounds good! The Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout isn't one that I've had, and I don't know that I've seen it on any shelves around these parts...

Not even if you paid me to... I had another friend that drank it religiously, but I just couldn't stomach the stuff on a regular basis.

Cantillon Anything (I like them sour beers)
Edit: And these kids from Ann Arbor, Jolly Pumpkin.
Wild ales/sour beers are awesome. Jolly Pumpkin is fantastic, but they don't currently distribute to Washington. I managed to snag a bottle La Roja while in Nebraska the other week.
I visited the Cantillon brewery while in Brussels earlier this year. Absolutely brilliant.
A lot of local breweries in Seattle are getting into the wild ale game. Epic Ales is consistently making incredibly unqiue experimental sours. As for the rest of the country, Cascade (Oregon) and Russian River (California) make good ones as does New Belgium (Colorado) with their Lips of Faith series.

Whatever's cheapest and gets me drunk.
-
Blue Moon
Heineken
Stella Artois
-
If I'm in a supermarket/liquor store with the standard options looking to pick up a six pack, I usually go with Blue Moon, Stiegl, Pilsner Urquell or Beck's.
Does not compute. I don't think I've ever been in a grocery store in Washington that didn't have craft options.
-
Spaten, Warsteiner, Beck's.
-
Fat Tire
Arrogant Bastard Ale
-
I heard someone served Gundam an Olympia once and he beat them to death with the unopened can. True story
its the only natural response to that swill
while its not necessarily my go-to, when i'm out & spending money you cant go wrong with a unibroue
-
Heineken. If I'm feeling like something different, 1664 and Carta Blanca. Fuck, I'll drink Bud Light or any other shit beer too. I'm nowhere near as picky about beer as I was when I was younger...then again, I don't really drink much beer anymore.
I have a good friend who homebrews and does the $50 on a six pack thing, so I'm kinda covered either way.
-
Started homebrewing the last couple months with friends. We've done a Maple Nut Brown and a Golden Ale. Up next is a Winter Warmer and an IPA.

The former brewmaster of Olympia (when it was actually still in Olympia, WA) is a very close family friend. He's currently the head brewmaster for Deschutes. True story.
As for crap beer, my buddies and I always start off Man Nights with a can of Hamm's.

i drink anything sour. it's my weakness.

Pick up a bottle of La Folie. Just as tasty and much cheaper.
-
never seen it, or i would've tried it. will keep an out for it.
there isn't a large selection of flander red ales at my local gourmet wine/beer shop.
though i trust everything to come out of unibroue, plus they have the most metal covers. :rock

wish my girlfriends loved beer as much as me :'(

I listed my go-to beers, which is what I'd drink normally, when given a choice.
What I actually drink is Yebisu or Premium Malt's; both are quite good, but not really flavorful enough for someone who likes IPAs better than just about anything.
-
Leinenkugel, Hoegaarden
doesn't really count but also Magner's and Woodchuck Cider. I love me some cider...
-
I had a saison made with jasmine and green tea at Upstream Brewing in Omaha. It was quite nice.
-
La fin du monde is so good. Always have one or two in the fridge for bad days.
-
Newcastle Brown Ale

IPAs :yuck

IPAs :yuck
Preeetty much. I use to order a bunch of them but I think I've only had maybe three really excellent ones. Dogfish Head is about the only one I can stomach for than two or three bottles.
If I'm getting drunk on a weekend: Pabst.
If I want to feel classy, I'll head over to the liquor store and buy some of Nashville's local brews from a place called Yazoo. Place makes a really good amber ale and stout. Their IPA is atrocious.
Oh, and when this time of year comes around, and/or I'm back in Ohio for a few days? These motherfuckers:

Terminal Gravity IPA. I think it's a Portland area thing though.

We have it in Seattle, too. The U-Village QFC always has 6-packs.
-
Sweetwater 420 Extra Pale Ale for when I'm in the mood for a pale ale (90% of the time... love me some hops)
Newcastle for when I'm not
-
I'm not sure. If we're talking just standard, popular brands and there's nothing else, then I go with blue moon. If we're talking "if I had my pick" then I'm not sure. I've had Shark Attack once and rather liked it. I can never remember most of the stuff I try at bars.

Also, liking Duvel a lot. Really delicious, but really a bit too strong at 8% or whatever it is
-
Abita Purple Haze is really good too, that's one of my favorites at the local pub I've been chilling at lately.
-
Blue Moon (w/orange)
Corona (w/lime)
One of those high gravity beers (if I am looking to catch a quick buzz)
I don't drink much at all these days, but when I do I prefer mixed drinks. I just sort of treat drinking a beer like drinking a soda.

Feelbad is a pseudo Dos Equis man. :lol
I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis.

It's strength isn't the problem, it's the way it carries it; the alcohol flavor is pungent. Other than that, it's a lovely beer.

You think so? I didn't really taste the alcohol at all, I bought two bottles on a recommendation and was really surprised when I checked the strength afterwards.
-
The alcohol in the W-IPA I mentioned elsewhere is much more subdued, at 9% than Duvel's 8%. Or maybe it's just that there's so much other flavor in the W-IPA that the alcohol isn't as noticeable.
I like Duvel. Hell, I have a uniqlo DUVEL shirt!
