meh. Doesn't bother me.

At best it could be decent which would be nice. At worst it would be like the MP of Dead Space 2 which was shit but had no effect on the actual sp of that game. I'm pretty sure the MP has had no effect on the SP in ME 3. So no big deal to me.

Bioware is dead to me as an RPG company.

Multi could be ok, but who will play it? (no one)

Whats the point of adding it then?

Who is going to buy ME3 for multi though?

COD sold 25 million copies last year, that is the MP crowd by large.

Baldurs Gate had 3rd person shooter multi  ???

could be a typo, there has been NO mention of any multiplayer anywhere else. Could be referring to a DLC pass, like the cerberus network in ME2

There is a very high chance it will suck especially depending on who made it since it almost certainly wasn't the core team. But I think there is room for a cool MP experience in the Mass Effect Universe. The gameplay is mostly shooter gameplay at this point mixed with conversation trees. So I understand the desire, I just don't think they probably put in the time or reshaped the engine enough to actually do it properly.

EA is trying anything and everything to steal shooter market space from Activision and this is just another example.

It could be co-op type mission stuff which could also be considered multiplayer or a horde type mode. Some of these rumours have been flying around for awhile.

You stop paying attention to games for six or seven years and suddenly nothing makes sense.

Why are people angry?

Some people think resources are being diverted from SP to do these MP modes. For the really big games that actually isn't the case anymore although it still often is for smaller budget games.

There is also a backlash from a niche community against MP modes in general.

Old news and I'm just gonna pretend that it doesn't exist if it sucks.

ME3? MULTI? What are you talking about? Even if the game has multi I'll just act like it doesn't exist unless it's co-op in some form.

The game is a squad based shooter that involves mixing the team's different abilities.  Competitive multiplayer might not make sense but co-op, even a horde mode, wouldn't be a stretch.  Actually could be pretty cool.

It's not like Dead Space 2 where it doesn't make sense.  Even then, it didn't mess up the single player at all.  There's also Uncharted 2.  People seem to like that game.

I look at the Splinter Cell series introducing multiplayer modes to a stealth game and that turned out great.  Apparently multiplayer in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood was good and didn't spoil the single player.  There are few examples of multiplayer actually hurting a game.  It's usually just there and a waste of effort.

I wonder if anyone still plays Condemned 2 multiplayer
