Title: You east coasters got it good!
Post by: Bebpo on October 23, 2011, 11:27:23 AM
I'm in Rochester and it's fucking gorgeous.  Greens everywhere, lakes, parks; everyone seems chill.  Weather is that nice east coast chill.

Grass is literally greener on the other side.  I need to get out of orange county.

My cousin says that the Pacific Northwest is a more classy, refined and prettier Northeast. He's lived in New England nearly all his life and visited Seattle just before moving back East from LA.

he's right

Not to be that guy but Oregon / Pacific Northwest is where it's at. You get four fairly mild seasons and I'm a short drive away from the forest / mountains, the beach, the high desert, rivers, lakes, green everywhere laid back liberal state ahhhhh if it just rained a bit less it'd be perfect.

East coasters are a short drive from New Jersey!

It took two weeks for my wallet to get stolen in a bar somehow (I was pretty drunk, but jesus I've been that drunk a hundred times and I've never lost my wallet).

Yeah, it's pretty good.

Well, the North East looks good all year round. Winter and blistering coldness gets old after a while though. Looking forward to spending some time in Cali, especially winter.

Hmmmm, I don't think I can live in this area.  The downtown is kind of sparse and it doesn't seem like there's much to do at night.  Nice place to retire (winter aside).   Seattle was pretty rad with a good mix of scenic and 20s/30s social scene.  +1 for NW.

If it wasn't for my family and friends being in Ontario, I'd totally transfer to BC.

True story: the entire state of new jersey smells like a wet fart.  The residents are too habituated to notice and most tourists are too polite to say anything.

actually, most tourists are too busy breathing through their mouths.

This has been my sole experience with Jersey when road tripping I-95 South to Florida. Once you hit that Jersey border it smells like New York is taking a big wet bitter shit in Jersey's direction.

dunno, just  to see if it's as bad as people say. It's like people saying Detroit is bad when they haven't been; when you visit Detroit you quickly find there are some great areas mixed in between the war zones.
