Title: Infamous: Festival of Blood
Post by: Eel O'Brian on October 27, 2011, 12:52:36 PM
It's pretty good!  You don't need Infamous 2 to play, it's standalone.  The new vampire powers are neat.  Same kind of campy, tongue in cheek atmosphere as RDR Undead Nightmare. Apparently you get the full UGC creator in it to play and create side missions (one reviewer said he made a side mission with nothing but fat vampire chicks as enemies, haha).  Apparently it's short (3-6 hours depending on if you collect everything).  $9.99 ($7.99 for PS+ members).

My son loves infamous, but this doesn't look age appropriate.

I need to buy it, but there's too many games at the moment.

I read that move controls are in and I wonder if that works well.  The infamous games overmap the controller a bit and it's hard to do things like jump/glide and aim at the same time.

it's not that gory, the vampires do that skeletal disintegration thing they did in the blade movies when you stake them, and when you drink blood nothing is really shown

Is this game just Infamous 2's city reskinned with new story missions?  Or does it have new areas?

They're talking about "innie" and "outtie" vaginas over in the :NSFW thread. I didn't know such a concept existed. Please report them as well. For disturbing my naïveté.  :-[

not really, there's train tracks down there you can rail slide on, no bullshit hopping from concrete block to pillar to avoid water

it's more like a giant, crumbling mausoleum than anything else
