I feel bad for the guys out of a job, but it will better for them in the long run when they can be a part of something not so embarrassing. They don't have to lie to save face and say they're janitors, or in gay porn, when someone asks where they work now.

I think it was something like sub-50k across all platforms in the first month.

Silicon Knights president Denis Dyack stated in July 2011 that the CDN $3 million investment would allow the company to improve its technology, hire 80 new people while keeping 97 current jobs and allow the company to become "self sustaining."

This fucking guy.   :lol

So did Dyack ever scam any money out of Epic?

I think the case is still on-going. For now, they'll just have to settle for scamming money out of Canada.

This outcome follows the St. Catharines, Ontario-based studio receiving three recent funding grants, totaling CDN $8 million: $1 million in 2008, invested by the Ontario Media Development Corporation, $4 million in 2010 via the federal government, and most recently, $3 million in July 2011 via the Ontario government.

That fat fuck probably pissed it away on Hohos, Twinkies, and Sno Balls.

Dyacks next project will require far less capital, a mere 30,000 CDN, and will rely heavily on outsourcing to the nearest Needs convenience store.  "I'm trying to harken back to my Eternal Darkness period" Dyack said as he unwrapped a microwave breakfast burrito.  "I tried to make a modest licensed franchise game and no one bit.  Might as well let it all hang out, like in the good old days".  As he hoisted a mountain of funions on to the counter Dyack asked another customer whether they were for or against him sleeping on their futon that night.

Dyack knows no one will buy his game so he takes your tax money instead. Ultimate troll.

Clearly, they didn't get enough tax dollars, I say Canada tries $80 million next time.

The Canadian government pre-ordered 133k copies of X-Men Destiny.
