I've tried everything and my NAT seems to not be able to get past 'strict'. I have a Linksys E1000 router and have been tooling with this thing for months, to no avail. I can connect with most people, but there's many people I want to play with I can never connect with due to NAT.
Help? I've read about every guide out there and followed every pair of instructions and it's still an issue with no fix in sight.

I didn't bother with this, I just set my xdude's IP to the DMZ. huahua
-
Any help with that, hyoushi?
-
Urrm. Your router should have a setting for a DMZ IP. Just do an address reservation in the LAN section of the router for the threesitty and then set the DMZ to that IP. Et voila.
Edit: Seems like the E1000 can set the DMZ to be assigned to a specific MAC address instead of an IP. Can just set the threesitty MAC here if you don't wanna do an address reservation, then

Static X360 IP and: http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/E1000/Xbox_Live_360.htm
+ Enable UPnP and finally reboot the router.
If all else fails, get a better router.
-
K. I enabled upnp, disabled everything else, put 360 on automatic and...no error. Fixed?
-
Yes.
UPnP is magic, sister.
-
Fuck. It's back to being distinguished mentally-challenged and NAT is closed again.

Reboot router.
-
I did a soft reboot AND a hard reboot.
Should I do one of those resets where you hold the pen in place on that tiny button?
-
When mine does that, I just pull the power and reconnect it. It feels like a caveman fix, but it works (and if it damages the h/w to have that done, whatevs, NTT owns the damned router).

That would reset the settings, no?
You sure all ports are opened correctly? Try to open all necessary Xbox Live ports using both protocols (TCP, UDP) and not one or the other.

apparently if you do port forwarding you don't do dmz or upnp as well. you have to pick port fortward OR dmz OR upnp to get it to work
-
Eh, I have upnp on here + 360 on static ip and all necessary ports forwarded to it.
