well you guys know that a while ago i had some problem with a broken hard-disk... but here's the thing, recently once in a while the PC starts to beep and doesn't stop beeping until i reboot the whole thing
soooo i'm starting to suspect the hard-disk wasn't the only thing that broke! so far it's a pretty rare event but it got me worried,it emits a low sound beep at intermittence's like *beep beep beep beep*
maybe there is a problem with the fan and the CPU temperature ends up too high?
-
Yeah it's done for.
-
sell your fuckin' consoles, get a gaming rig
-
Start saving up like $400 and go to fry's and just get a budget pc. They're actually pretty okay if you're not trying to have a monster pc *shrug*
Magus lives in Italy, IIRC.
-
reseat the ram

Maybe you can torrent a new computer from a local shop.
Or just copy it.

man you guys can act so childish
yes yes i pirate stuff,do you guys want me to put it in my tag?
now with that said, are you guys going to help me recognize the problem or continue to squawk?
-
um... your post is a bit vague to help. when does it beep? does any errors occur? have you looked inside your unit itself? cleaned it out?
-
it starts to beep after around 4 hours since been turning on i think?
no errors of sort occur
i cleaned out the thing a while ago when i removed the faulty hard disk
so far it only happened twice, since i removed the faulty hard disk which could have be around a month ago which is why i wasn't worrying too much about it in the first place
-
can we put that magus is a yucky poor and a degraded pir8 in his tag?
-
Probably a temp alarm. Clean off the old crusty shit from the cpu and get some new heatsink grease.

Lots of the computers in our compsci lab do the same beeping problem. I wouldn't be super worried.

Wow, magus, I knew your computer was old, but I didn't think it was THAT old.
Does it sound anything like this:

We're looking to get a new laptop, so I've been eying the Fry's ads lately. I'll probably drop ~$400-$500 on a new laptop.

Make this the new EB headline.

You can build a new PC for 300/400 that will play almost anything on high settings and will shit all over 360/PS3.
