Title: Tech-help thread of digital swag and flattery
Post by: Bebpo on November 07, 2011, 01:40:08 PM
To the super smart awesome and wonderful tech people here!  (Cruncheon, Treesang, Recursive, etc...)

I need to install a Japanese keyboard for my computer at work which is an old XP machine.  When I try to do it the old fashioned way of regions&languages -> install east asian language files, it asks me to insert a "windows xp professional service pack 3 cd" to get the files and refuses to install without it.  I have no idea where the xp disc is for this machine.  Any other way to do this?

Also if I download and burn this iso from Microsoft "http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=25129" would that work?

You can try to change the path to C:\windows\system32 or C:\windows

The link you have is just for the service pack which won't help you.

Grab an .iso from a torrent site. You already bought the license so you aren't actually pirating.
