Thankfully the store had a replacement unit.

what was the problem?

I don't know what the problem was. I bought an iPod Touch. Had my fun with it... took a couple pics of my cock. I left earlier today, and I come back, and try to turn on the unit. It was blank.

So I'm like... uh, what the fuck.

I get told to hold the two buttons. Nothing happens.

I try plugging it into my machine, and windows says my USB device has malfunctioned. iTunes doesnt dtect it (because of the windows error). So... I'm like, did I just brick my touch?

So I walked to the store and got a new one. It turned right on when I plugged it in, and after going through more hoops setting it up again, I am back where I was.

I also do not plan on buying any more Apple products after this.

I think we're forgetting to ask the really important question: Did the dude at the store see your cock pics?

If he can figure out how to turn the device on, he's welcome to see my bush.

Apple customer service is the best of any company I have ever dealt with. Once the volume up button on my iPhone fell off after dropping it and they gave me a brand new phone on the spot and transferred everything over. Same thing afte I dropped it once and cracked the glass on the front of screen (just the glass part, screen under it was fine). Again brand new phone on the spot free of charge. Never paid for apple care once either.  Never any real questions asked or receipts or anything. From what I heard if you are nice to the genius bar people at the store they will fix/replace basically anything for free.

Yeah, I think they're squirting these things out at such a high volume now that there is bound to be an increase in faulty units.

Apple customer service owns. My ipod touch got fucked because I got a bit too much water in it while cleaning it. Went to UPS Store or whatever and sent it. They had a new unit shipped to my address that very same day and I got it the next day. :bow

I've had a 4S since launch without issues but I admit that I basically handle it with kid gloves.

Yeah the people in this thread that are sucking apples cock just got lucky. My experience with their customer service has been terrible. Nothing that went wrong with my phone has ever been free.

Considering how its Cheebs and Himumulu pimping how good the customer service is, it's a safe bet that the opposite is more likely to be true.

Apples rule is if you are nice to them you'll get your shit fixed for free. Not just me and himumu. From what I read it's company policy to give free fixes if you are nice to the Apple employee.

I figured out if I aplogize for breaking it and act friendly they'll just give me a new one no questions asked. I told a friend to do that when he broke his iPad and they gave him a new one free.

I'll be nice if they stop referring to themselves as geniuses.

owned a 3GS for 2.5 years.   No case at all, dropped it on concrete several times while drunk and on my wood floor a billion times.  Never a crash or a problem, though iOS4 or 5 or whatever the latest one was made it a bit more sluggish than usual.  of course, it was still faster than the Samsung piece of shit that came out 2 years later that I downgraded to (went prepaid because iPhone bill is a huge rip off.)

When I clean my ipod for smudges and dirt I use a moist cloth. That time I didn't dry it out enough and it had water damage.

Dry cloth gets rid of dirt and smudges. The iPod comes with a little one that works perfectly.

Maybe it's just the iPhone? I assumed it was both.
