I am thinking of checking out Move because I wouldn't mind some Time Crisis, House of the Dead, and No More Heroes action. Already own NMH and like it just fine with the controller, but, if it plays like the wii version, that'd be nice.
Just wondering if the pointer controls are nice and accurate. I've read some shit about recalibration which could be a deal breaker.
here's some poop :poop

only played the time crisis one out of those you mention, but i thought it was kinda of bad. swimmy aiming reticule and calibration never feels proper. only really had fun with it when we were drinking and just fucking around.

it took me about a minute you were talking about sony's move thingy
"what is move"
"that is grammatically incorrect and sentence makes no sense"
"oh. right."

yes the title sounds like a congressional vote or something heh

that sucks, guess it makes sense for a hacked together wii set up

should also mention that the game itself is much worse than time crisis 3 for instance. the pirate one is down right horrid.
the days of point blank and time crisis are over sadly. rip gun-con

Quality of pointer aiming is pretty different between games. I only tried the Time Crisis demo, but it was really jittery. The only full game I played was Dead Space Extraction and as good as the Wii. I remember Giantbomb people saying House of the Dead felt better with Move than Wii, but I didn't have a problem with the Wii controls were normal, so I don't know what they meant.
The tech is pretty different the wii remote is a camera picking up the two signals from the sensor bar, while the Move is calculating everything. There is calibration, but on the bright side, you don't need to be aiming at the TV which can be more comfortable. Even if you block the camera it still works, only it cursor drifts more.
If you already have a Wii, I mean, most of the Move light gun games are already there, just uglier. plus there is a better selection with ghost squad and hotd 2+3.

I already own NMH and it is fine with the controller, except the distinguished mentally-challenged saber charging.
sucks about the time crisis games not being that good. guess i'll just rent/pirate house of the dead and try it with a controller.

lol I didn't see you say that so I edited it out when I noticed
and yeah, TC4 isn't good. There are these weak shit bugs you shoot all the time and it's not good. And I liked TC2 and 3 a whole lot. I actually bought it back when it was bundled with the Guncon 3, so I didn't feel like rebuying it for the two extra games.

yeesh, ok, i'm convinced to not drop the money on a move set.

What would magus do?

quit after taking move too seriously when it didn't respond the way he wanted

If you can get a Move setup for cheap, I'd say go for it. Sports Champions, Tumble and Dead Space Extraction are also fun.
