the popular choice is mostly likely the jeff buckley version (not surprising – it's absolutely beautiful)
but I have a feeling some of ya will choose the leonard cohen version, or even the john cale one. What say you, bore?

jeff buckley :yuck

Cale is the only right answer.

Rufus Wainwright :O

Cale is the only right answer.
This. I rate them Cale > Cohen >>>> Wainwright.

Cohen's version, for sure. I think when you try to make it more musical it loses something. Buckley's version sounds like its trying to hard to wet panties. Needs the crooning. I also really, really like choral background in Cohen's version.

1. the original from Various Positions
2. the version a girl I had a crush on did at a show once
3. Cale
4. Wainwright

I don't know any of them.

I can't figure out how I feel about this song anymore.

I hate them all equally.
