I'm friends with this older lady on fb, and I see her all the time at a store I frequent. Everytime we speak I feel like I'm using a dialogue wheel cuz all her fb statusus are SUPER dramatic, and I try to phrase everything in a way that ensures she doesn't go off on a rant.

Like one time her car broke down on her birthday, and she was complaining on fb that it ruined everything. I saw her the next day, and I didn't want to be a jerk and not say "hey, happy birthday" but I knew if I did, she'd start complaining and I don't wanna hear that shit. So I went with the "hey, guess you had a kind of reserved birthday huh." The logic being that she would recognize I knew of her circumstance, and therefore NOT go into a rant of complaining. But nooo she took it as an insult and asked "are you being serious? My car broke down, I know you saw my updates right...?" And I was like "ok" :(

At this point you can just code some kind of context aware auto responder. Like pornbots.

That video is great.

Why do you even have to deal with that person?

"Dad, is this necessary?"

"Let's change the empire to light side."

"I'll expose your plans for betrayal!"

"Friend of the family" type deal, so if I don't see her at a store I see her at my parent's house for instance. I added her mainly because I didn't want to deal with "hey why didn't you add me on Bookface?" questions

Too bad that didn't work out so well.  :-\

I have added a bunch of ex-co-workers on my FB now that I'm not seeing them every day in a professional environment, but now I'm wondering if the one person I'm still unwilling to add is going to hound me.
