Haven't watched anything in a long while, trying to watch True grit on Xbox but it veers between HD and sub-youtube resolution every ten seconds. Switched over to the PC and it's the same thing. I'd have been better off downloading it somewhere. I know it isn't my connection. If this is a normal thing nowadays I think I'll just keep my $8 a month in my pocket.

It's running smooth on my TV and my PS3

Works fine on my ipad. I can try it out on xbox live later this evening to confirm.
-
sorry bro, it's your connection.

I dunno, I just ran some speed tests and I'm topping out at 21mbps, and I just downloaded some things to test it out myself and it zipped along pretty steady without any drops. Could've been someone leeching off me at the time, I suppose. Just kind of irritated that the one time I sit down to watch something it looks like a VCD.

Everybody seems to have a different experience, including streaming through different machines on the same connection (some people swear their 360 streams better than their PS3 and vice versa). I've been trying to watch some DS9 and it tends to look pretty crappy on the PC, but I don't know how high a resolution they'd have available for an older TV show anyway.

Wasn't there something about how the new X360 dash fucked up video stuff on X360? That might explain it.
It looks fine on my ps3.

I watched a little bit of True Grit on my TV, PS3, and PC since my last post. All of them work fine.

Icefilms is the best streaming anything I ever seen.

When it rains with Netflix Instant Watch it pours. The Bond films had a weird frame stuttering issue I actually made a thread about on both my PS3, my 360, and my PC. However, stuff like Battlestar Galactica, Mad Men, and other HD shows not only work fine, but have a very nice HD feed to them. The Bond films looked good in HD, but the frame stuttering really took me out of them.

I'm watching some Louie episodes tonight and in spite of a 34 mbps connection per speed tests, I get the rebuffering screen every 10 minutes.

it's a combination of local internet issues, ISP issues, and whatever server you happened to hit when you decided to watch what you wanted to watch. heavily weighted in the formers over the latter.

Doesn't Netflix take up 30% of all internet usage? That has to have some impact.
-
Netflix works fine for me. Now fucking YouTube. That shit is a dog no matter what the platform is for me.
-
hahaha, yeah
30 second video, pauses to buffer every five seconds
