Hey baby I want that car
Hey baby I really want that car
Let's get that car
-
18th im getting one- ill laugh as my gas costs and insurance costs fly through the roof but WHATEVER:

-
thats pretty damned sweet. what model?
-
Great White in lime green, obviously.
-
The other day I noticed gas costs like 3.50 now. It felt like the other week it was just 2.98 or something.
-
Just think of all the conversations random people will try to start with you now! And you thought going to Gamestop was bad
-
Probably a GT- Shelby and BOSS models are obviously off the table. While it's easy to argue that I dont NEED a V8, it's kind of hard to find a decent V6 that's also a manual. Trouble is you lose a couple mpg making the jump but WHATEVER I already lose a bunch compared to my SISSY FOCUS- life sucks and then you die.

It's just sad that 3.80+ is the new normal in WA State

The new 5.0 is sweeeeeet. It shifts like a dream. Do not get the V6. Please Please Please
-
Prolly won't. Pretty sure better judgement will be on vacation that day.

MAF if you don't buy a 5.0 I'll personally kick your ass.
I rented a Mustang for a week last year and the MPG was amazingly great. But that's coming from the guy who drives a SUV all the time. Loved the damn car even if I wasn't that great of a fit in it. Drove from the bay area to la and back. I wish I would have dropped the top more but with the misses' hair it was strictly ac. Was doing 115 on I-5 like it was nothing, loved every moment of driving that car.

An old coworker has the Boss version and its insanely crazy loose I damn near had a heart attack driving that beast.
-
Yeah no BOSS for me
-
My best friend loves his '95 Mustang, he treats that thing like it's a Bentley...
-
No doubt, a fully loaded Mustang isnt cheap- the prices they have on the Ford website are if you didnt want seats or something
-
Especially since you want the new years model. Dealer mark up is in full effect at that time. You might want to consider going with last years model if it doesn't bother you too much. You'll have a lot more room for negotiating a better deal. I know when I was looking at getting a STR8 Challenger the markup was insane. That is unless you Idontcareanymore.jpeg
-
pretty much- the dealership im working with ive bought my last two cars from- they basically knock some of that markup off up front but dont haggle- there IS haggling room with trade ins though- my current car is in crazy good shape with very few miles. They've done alright by me in the past so ill give em the benefit of the doubt.
-
Yeah the new Mustangs are selling generally above MSRP and have been even with last years. Buying a 2011 won't be worth it because they're still in high demand and unless you really really need that extra 1 or 2% you might as well get a '12. Plus, the 2011 manual transmissions were recalled and have several issues that were fixed for 2012. Plus new hotness and all that.
-
NEW HOTNESS
-
Ahhhhhhhhh
-
I assume this means you got the car?
-
Does this fall under mid-life?
-
grats!
old guy I used to work with made a trip to TX to get a BOSS last year. apparently there are two keys? one with a limiter, and one without? the dealer didn't mention this, and he almost totalled it out getting on the interstate. :lol
he was apparently a really shitty driver. he took it to a track and got smoked by some "suped up" Nissan or something. think Maxima, not GT-R.
-
No, getting it tomorrow- fuhhhh hate waiting.
Yeah there will be a weekend where I spend time remembering stick- its been two and a half year. Plus every cars clutch feel is a little different.
Does this fall under mid-life?
and maybe, just wanted to have a cool car!
-
The clutch in the new mustang is a breeze dude. No issues. I guarantee it's smoother and more forgiving than probably anything outside of a serious sports car. The only thing I've driven that is better is a C6 Corvette. It eases into gear and you have a lot of leeway. You'll have no problem picking up standard again in that thing.
-
Well that's good to hear,
-
All I can say is "wow". Pictures tomorrow assuming the weather clears
-
MAF's thirsting for that car.
-
Nah I have it. Coolest part of the day was pulling out into traffic. I was waiting for an opening and this other mustang coming down the road stops, flashes it's lights and lets me in. I felt soooo fuckin MACHO
-
He probably just saw the gordita wrappers on your dash board and wanted to compliment you on your taste by letting you in

Nice.

LIKE A BOSS
-
That car is :hump
-
Nice car.
My biggest fear if driving a nice car like that are thoughtless doofuses dinging my car while in a parking lot.
-
Yup. I see people park nice cars far from the place shopping carts are stored, and far from other cars...but then I kinda thinking...doesn't that make your car more of a target? If your car is far away at the end of the parking lot, it stands out more than if it was in between a bunch of cars.
-
I generally park far away on the side exposed to the road. Its just some weird habit I developed a long time ago. I mostly just hate having to pay much attention to people coming and going behind me when im pulling back.
-
Got muh registration and plates today- picking up new floor mats and care products this weekend. awww yeah- lookin awesome drivin fast

Nice ride, MAF! :rock
-
Thanks! May be a good opportunity to learn more about CARS other than how to drive them
-
Beautiful ride. I'll probably be buying Ford for my next vehicle. It's either that or a Hyundai, whichever gives me better value for the money.
-
Any mods planned?
-
MAF, you should get an SLP Loudmouth exhaust. Inexpensive, sounds beautiful, doesn't pop on deceleration and isn't obnoxiously loud. But it definitely brings out the hum.
-
MAF is going to go bankrupt once he sees the Steeda (http://www.steeda.com) catalog. Not kidding.

I'm pretty sure the Mustang posted this
-
Some dude in a tricked out ugly truck tried to pass me tonight. I lol'ed
-
Nice. I had a 1999 GT convertible. My current car suits my taste better though. The mustang was definitely fun and the new ones are a quantum leap forward.
