i only watch about a movie a week on the streaming service and i think it's worth it simply for the convenience
-
I watch it constantly. I think it's worth it because you get a lot of content for a few dollars a month.
-
I have Netflix and I love it. I still can't justify Hulu Plus though. I haven't seen that they've got too much better of a selection to get it too. A lot of it looks to be the same stuff on Netflix.
-
lmao @ this question
-
If piracy is a legit option - no
Else - yes
-
I blow through about 3-4 DVDs a week, so, yeah it's worth $12.
-
I think it's absolutely worth it, for streaming at least.
Hulu Plus on other hand is pissing me off, thanks to the ads and how a good deal of my shows are "web only" and SD.
-
For TV series, yes. Movies, not so much

If your film interests are limited, sure. It has a crazy amount of international films, however.
-
I finally saw Gojira last night.

The band? Did you get rocked?

Watch Last Train Home and Election.

true. watched District B13U on it the other day.
new/current movie releases are rare though. and isn't it going to become worse as publishers want more money from netflix?

For a second I thought you were suggesting Reese Witherspoon's movie.
Both sound interesting, thanks.

You have no idea how much I wanna slap you right now.
-
It's definitely worth it for streaming.
For DVD/blu-ray rental, maybe not. I care more about newer movies and most are delayed a month or so. Seems like redbox is better for newer movies.
Right now I relapsed onto the DVD/blu plan to catch up to a bunch of movies I missed, then I'm going back to streaming only for another few months.

It already is becoming worse. So much of the stuff I had in my backlog is gone now and the Starz deal is set to expire soon. It's tons and tons of pure shit with a lot of decent and even good movies that are hard to find because you swim through tons and tons of pure shit. Not to mention their recommendations are fucking craptacular. I hated everything they listed in top ten picks for me.

Why not? It's a great movie.
-
That it's not available for streaming is what I was trying to say.
-
I use my boyfriends account for free. For realz.
-
I can't find the innkeepers on netflix

-
rodi just uses men for their netflix ::)

I heard it would be on netflix too or some shit, must have heard wrong.
You can get it on video on demand, but not on Netflix.

It's an editorial tip!

When you have Netflix and the internet, the question then becomes 'Is cable worth it'?

sports in HD?
-
Sports is never worth it.
-
The selection is getting worse and worse as the days go by. I might have to cancel mine soon.
-
Yeah once you go through the good stuff, it starts to dry up. Netflix hasn't gotten enough good additions lately.
-
It sucks that Criterion jumped ship to Hulu before I had a chance to watch everything :'(
-
LICENSE TO DRIVE IS ON NETFLIX
-
I stumbled on Monty Python's Flying Circus last night and decided to watch it on a whim. Something I thought was very awesome until I realized that every other episode is missing.
I gotta admit, trying to justify this service can be pretty challenging when you come from a piracy-friendly internet culture. Somewhere where it's non-punishable, sometimes even encouraged. I'm getting there though.
-
I'm too lazy to dl movies and tv shows. that shit takes forever even on modern connections. great, dl this entire series for 12 gb, takes a day to dl. would much rather have a legal, and more accessible route.
-

This was the impression I got while I had my account, and (primarily) why I did not renew. I've since gone through their site to see what else is available, and it's failed to impress.
-
What do you guys watch?
-
I watched Heroes when I had a gift subscription. Watch Hyperdrive & Spaced
-
There's shitloads of content that I have yet to get through. I could see myself cancelling the subscription in a year if things stagnate there.
-
What the hell do you people watch who say netflix doesn't have anything watching?
-

Don't ask me. There's a lot of stuff there and even if you went through everything, you can always watch an episode or two of Futurama or Beavis and Butthead.
-
how awesome would netflix be if they started working with major pron distributors to add all their shit
-
Oh, no complaints here either.
-

I watch most Netflix stuff on my phone. I have unlimited data but still.
-
No I mean, what programs/film do you watch?
-
No I mean, what programs/film do you watch?
Firefly was the last thing I watched. I do need to go through BSG as I've never watched it in its entirety. Kung Fu flicks too
-
My Netflix queue constantly has 70+ DVDs in it.
-
I have 150+ dvds.
50+ in my instant queue.
-
i cancelled my disc rental portion. watching movies on disc :yuck
-
I love netflix. There is a ton of great streaming content. My Instant Watch queue has about 400 movies in it. There's always something I'm interested in watching.
-
I have been abusing my bro-in-law's instant queue. Between it and TheBore, it is hard to focus on the job search.
With that, I will now log off.
-
I mean, if you don't like watching what you want to watch 24 hours a day I can see it being a bad deal.
