This is one of those things where you feel stupid after you hear it, because it's so obvious you can't believe you never figured it out on your own (apparently my fiance has been doing this for her kids for years).
1/4 cup popping corn (I paid $1.50 for a 32 ounce bag at Wal-Mart)
One of those small brown lunch bags (you can get packs of 50 for like $1)
Dump the popcorn in the bag, fold the top over a couple of times. Stick it in the microwave and pop, on high, time varies, just listen until 1-2 seconds between pops (mine took about 2:45). Some people say staple the bag, but it's unnecessary and there is the possibility of fire. Some say use 1/2 to a full teaspoon of olive oil - I found it made no difference other than a greasy bag. Add the oil/butter and salt/seasoning after and just shake the bag. I did find notching out a small hole near the top helped let the steam escape and made the popcorn slightly crispier.

So today you learned how to make popcorn?

Damn, can I use a plastic bag instead? I don't have any paper ones :'(
-
probably not a good idea
you could use a big bowl and put a plate over it to keep the popcorn from flying out, i guess

Yeah, I know its weird, but I had this sense of loss as he threw all that in there and closed the lid- one could argue its impossible to ruin mcdonalds food since its...well, mcdonalds- but it still seems wrong somehow. Like when you throw something out that may still be good and you have doubts, but as that lid closes regardless of any reflex to rescue it from the trash and undo what you've done- you realize its too late now.

Has anyone got into molecular gastronomy? Seriously, it's a guaranteed ticket to sex land if you make it for a girl you want to fold your nervous penis into. She will quite literally stuff it (penis) into her after you've blown her taste glands with the air and foam and caviars. And it's quite easy. If you don't fuck it up and quell the nerves before cooking by drinking a bottle of wine .
-
i went and looked that up, sounds pretty cool, you can buy kits online for it
-
Molecular gastronomy :yuck
Yup
Only got wise to the brown paper thing a few years ago from my sis. Popcorn itself will come up great but I always try to get "creative" with things that usually come out like as shitey corn.

For being able to pop in the peanut oil and such I always liked this thing I got for $5 on clearance at Target:
