Do farmers even have anything to do with it? I've always read they either don't like it or don't care about it and tend to work by the sun anyway.

I thought it was favored by sports/entertainment and retailers since people are more likely to go out and do things when it's still light when they get home from work.

Is it possible to challenge Daylight Savings Time on religious grounds? This violates my religion, I'm gonna have to come into work an hour later

Sorry Arbys, no amount of awesome photoshop work is gonna save you from saying shit like that.  Boys, put him into the catapult that flings stuff into the Sun.  We'll see how he likes sunlight after he gets some up close and personal.

William Willett: the father of DST* and the great, great grandfather of Chris Martin. Which is the bigger crime against humanity?

*not the first to propose it.

When I was buying petrol, at an extortionate price of 1.40 a litre, I asked the plump garage wench about dst. She looked at me and just smiled.

Oh plump garage wench, how can you be so fecund,
Thy udders hang like orbs of heaven, juddering with the swish
Of yonder pipes.

The sun has betrayed us. If there is a god, it has to be the sun, so why does it treat me like this?

Getting up an hour earlier than the last two months, for two days, just to go back to Japan and wake up at 3 a.m. for a week anyway. JET LAG. I HATE YOU.

eh.  just eat a large protein meal that's low on carbs and you'll be fine.  i routinely go without food for 20+ hours.

I'd be afraid to fast. I'd rip someone's head off.
