After going to 5 guys a few time I think it's expensive and overrated. A single patty bacon cheeseburger is $6, add a drink for $3, more fries than you can eat for another $3, and that's $12 that would have gotten you a better meal anywhere else with change left over.

This. I went to five guys twice in the past 6 months. My dad and I got burgers for the whole family (of three) and it was like 30 fucking bucks.

I went by myself about two months back, and it was like 10 bucks for a burger, fries, and drink. Five Guys' name is pretty accurate as it is literally five dudes shoving their cocks up every single hole in your body as you crap out dollar bills and the burger isn't even THAT good warranting such a charge.

Okay, they don't suck, but for 10 bucks why would I want to go to a burger joint? That is a rip off.

I can get one of the best burritos in Tejas for like 3 bucks as a local taqueria. I can go to Wendy's and get a spicy chicken sandwich for literally one dollar. Why would I want to pay 6 bucks for a burger?

When I had Five Guys I liked it but honestly the beef itself tasted just as good as Wendy's when Wendy's is on its game (not sloppy). The appeal is all the toppings but honestly thats just putting lipstick on a pig in some cases. A good burger should be good even without all the toppings.

I didn't see how it was any better than Whataburger or Wendy's or Sonic in terms of quality.

And all you need for a good burger is lettuce, burger, pickles, tomatoes, mayo, cheese, and onions.

Pub burgers never fail to satisfy.  There's a bar nearby that serves an incredible half-pound burger topped with crabcake, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion petals on the side for $10.  If I'm not in a rush, that's where I'm headed.

And while we're on the toppings, it's nice they have free toppings and it's great marketing because people love free shit nomatter how horrendous the quality but none of them are good. It appeals to the quantity over quality crowd.

I'm not anti-carb. I never liked bread, rice or pasta of any kind. Eating too much (more than a few bites) makes me sick. Plus it doesn't taste good.

When I went to Asia with an ex he was seriously worried I wouldn't have anything to eat.  Lucky for me there's enough of a self conscious, dieting market there that I had plenty of options.  It's not unusual for me to order two entrees. Or like for my burgers I'll usually double/triple the normal serving size.
