Timber do what I'm doing and make mexican junk food at home. It's all really easy shit to cook

I made some real good beef burritos last night. I didn't have any sour cream, so I used Best Foods Mayo instead, which was AWESOME

I'm going to take this moment to come clean and admit that I'm not quite sure of something, here. This love for Taco Bell makes me feel like an outsider. Now, given how incredibly insecure I am, I am desperate for everyone else's approval. However, in trying to develop the appropriate posting style for jumping on the bandwagon and professing just how awesome Taco Bell is so that I can be one of the cool kids, I have hit a snag. I'm not sure whether I'm suppose to genuinely love the place, or ironically love it.

If someone could be so kind as to clear that up for me, I think I could fit in better at this wonderful, wonderful establishment.

Thank you in advance.

How about just outright declaring it to be beneath a level fit for human consumption like I do? Dont worry it will only hurt for a moment.

Evilbore left its ironic phase behind about 2 years ago when the Icons largely abandoned the forum for Facebook and Twitter.  The current, more populist aesthetic of the forum most closely approximates New Sincerity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Sincerity).  I (sincerely) hope that helps!

It does. I have some kinks to work out then. Maybe in about five Taco Bell threads I'll have this down. See you tomorrow!

This is Taco Bell, I think you're overthinking it. You should just enjoy it because you enjoy it.

I assure you that I honestly haven't really given it any thought. My post was just a roundabout way of declaring that I don't really "get" the Taco Bell love here. There has been a very mild curiosity about whether the Bore just happened to have the densest population of Taco Bell lovers on the 'net, or if it was just one of many in-jokes I don't quite grasp having not been around here for that long.

Taco Bell is on the decline.  A lot less variety, prices have been jacked up a couple of times (for a while, two chicken quesadillas, a beef grilled stuft burrito, and an XL Baja Blast used to cost $7.77 with tax; now I think it is over $10), and I know for sure they've been watering down the fountain drinks, which make all the difference in world with Baja Blast.

It's ok not to follow the bandwagon here.  Now if it was 2005 and you were resisting, I'd probably have to gut you for your insolence.

You can never replicate true Taco Bell taste outside of Taco Bell.

You kinda can. You just need the "sauce" or something. Well that and ground beef/"soy."

It's not hard to make tacos. If you want to make Taco Bell type tacos...just get some canned refried beans (or make your own), make some rice (cook it in chicken broth for more flavor), your favorite veggies and cream cheese, a good sauce or salsa...and you're set.

I prefer making more authentic fish tacos. Onions, cilantro, good salsa, mushrooms, maybe some avocado...
