Some very funny dark moments in this episode. I liked it. I really like what they are doing with this game. My favorite Telltale game in years.
Spoilers for episode 1 here.

I laughed my ass off at the cannibal dinner. Funny shit.
Hahaha, there was some pretty raw dog shit in this one. Totally predictable,

but still a good time. Kenny's a fucktard. Actually, that's kind of my problem with the game in general. I only care about one or two of the characters, the rest are assholes and I could not care less whether they live or die. Fun to watch the wreck, though.
Episode 3 is amazing! A couple parts actually had me screaming out loud - not from it being scary but from some of the twists it throws out at ya. This has got to be one of the few times a game honestly made me feel bad when a character died. Really well done.

Man, Carly dying was brutal. That was the one that had me shouting in disbelief. I didn't think I was connected with her as much as I was but when Lilly shot her.......god damn. I seriously wasn't expecting the game to go there. Episode 2 was pretty predictable but this one had some pretty big surprises, at least for me. I'm really interested in going back and trying this all over with different characters to see how this all plays out with them.
what an episode

I "accidentally" shot the girl in the street and felt pretty bad.
Watching Lilly come unraveled was pretty tough and i was trying to keep her together but when she shot Carly? I feelings towards her instantly went cold. What HSMP said, I think it would affect me as much but it did. I'm actually hoping she turns up again.
They did a real good job of giving Duck a quick dose of character and I guess I should have seen it coming. I figured they just wanted to give him some screen time...
That scene where Katjaa and Kenny talking about Duck as he's dying. Man that was brutal.
I'm a slight bit disappointed they never followed up on the Jolene story line but I assume we'll hear more about that in the coming 2 episodes. No way they have the bandit story in the past with what happened.
Question: Did anyone manage to kill that bandit before he jumped the fence? Does it affect things much? I had to go through a somewhat lengthy shoot out.
Thing whole thing has been so constantly good. I really hope it doesnt fall a part in the end.
spoiler (click to show/hide)
I missed the first bandit before he jumped so I got the shootout as well. I'm not sure how much of that changes if you get him. I'd be curious to see. I'm playing it on the PC with a 360 controller and that whole sequence was pretty frustrating with a pad so I just swapped it out for the keyboard and mouse. Much easier that way.
I'm tempted to start over though. Like all over from the very beginning of episode 1 to see just how much this game can change. I'm kind of interested in seeing how this game feels with Doug instead of Carly. Doug just seemed so......ordinary. It wasn't a hard decision to save Carly over him.
You know, I bought the Walking Dead season pass when episode 1 came out and I made it the pharmacy and just sort of stopped. It seemed alright but it didn't really grab me or anything. I decided I'd wait and go back to it after all 5 episodes came out before I'd touch it again. Well, lo and behold I had an unexpected surgery on my knee and had nothing better to do yesterday so I started this up again and now this game has me by the balls. I don't want to wait 2 month for episode 4..... I want it now! Man, I should've just waited lol

Damn right, man. Fucking Lily, Carly was my waifu. :'( I sided with Lily over Kenny most of the time, but after that, hell no. I would have killed Ben too if it had let me, that turd. All I gots left is Clem and anybody messes with her is gonna get straight up murdered. (http://i.imgur.com/C9OWN.png)

just taught clementine to protect her self and then half the boxcar vanished along with all the actors for the scene.
i thought the game was over or something but nope. had to reload it and the last save was 17 minute previous. bitches.
Maybe they should try bug testing the next episode. For me, spoiler (click to show/hide)
Duck went invisible outside the boxcar which made the scene a lot less emotional.
Finished it up. As usual I thought it was very good. I thought the decisions were very tough. In fact for the first time I almost felt like trying to quit and restart because I felt I had made a really bad decision in one case but stuck with it as I feel that's more honest. I can honestly say that reaction has probably never happened for me in a videogame.
spoiler (click to show/hide)
I left Clementine at the house and I was sure for some reason right after I made the choice that it would cause her to die or get abducted.
This was the first episode where my decisions were solidly in the minority for the stats it shows at the end of the game which was interesting and probably says something about me. It setup the threads for the season finale to end in a satisfying manner for me. I like how there was no preview for the final episode like there usually is.
Almost no matter how it ends its certainly been up there as a goty contender for me. In retrospect this game respects its storytelling and characters and is committed to it in a much stronger way than Mass Effect 3 was for example. The little action bits are terrible but its a relatively minor flaw compared to what the series strengths have been.
Episode 4 was ok. Looking at the end stats, I'm in the minority of people who

dropped Ben's doofy ass. Had enough of his bafoonery.

(I was sick of his ass and let him go. He had jeopardized the group way too much).

Him taking a hatchet clearly being used to wedge a door closed was what made me decide to wash my hands of him. I've got Crista, Omid and Kenny with me right now in the shelter.
spoiler (click to show/hide)
Him telling Kenny what he did like a little pansy bitch was the final straw for me after I told him not to do it. Only Kenny stayed with me. And I'm very mixed on him from some of the earlier dumb stuff he did in the game. All I really care about at this point is saving Clementine since most of the characters I actually liked are dead except her. For some reason I also didn't disclose I got bit. Just my natural human instincts kicking in at that point.
spoiler (click to show/hide)
I saved Ben. If he wants to die, he can kill himself without my help. Showing the bite mark didn't scare away the group. Everyone except Ben (because of hillbilly rage) joined me in the end.
My biggest problem with this game is that almost everyone you meet turns out to be a snarky asshole with a huge chip on their shoulder. I mean, I like the game, but I give not the fucks about whoever dies.

Also, :lol at everyone being grossed out by the dog - hordes of rotting dead all around, entire earth probably smells like a slaughterhouse, but dead dog = TOO MUCH MAN :lol
Another great fucking episode.

My choices:
This is the first time I'm in the minority in most of the choices.
Surprised so many people brought Clem to Crawford. I really spent a lot of time trying to decide on that choice. I'm really glad they give you time to make it. What happens with her when she comes?
It really wrecked me when she started crying when I told her there wouldnt be enough time to find her parents.
spoiler (click to show/hide)
Taking her or leaving her was oddly enough the toughest choice I had faced in the entire series as for whatever reason like I mentioned above I thought that may get her killed or kidnapped. But it just seemed like a worst idea to bring her into a situation where we were basically stealing from a bunch of potentially crazy people.
spoiler (click to show/hide)
I brought her. She just hangs out with Ben and nothing happens to her. Why? What happens when you leave her with Omid?
spoiler (click to show/hide)
Nothing special. She kills a walker that sneaked into the house. I was more concerned about the risk of her being abducted while the rest of the group was raiding Crawford and I also don't like breaking promises.
About the story in general. Why the hell would I want to get on a tiny boat with a limited fuel supply and no destination? It's an awful idea. Vernon is completely right.

Given the situation they are in, a boat sounds like the only good idea. They already are in a situation with little supplies and no real destination. At least a boat would get them away from this entire area. I chose the aggressive response when Vernon suggested giving Clem up. Nobody is going to take her away from him.
spoiler (click to show/hide)
A boat as an option and for transport seems fine. It wouldn't be my final option but as a means to get around and for a base it seems fine.
Finally got around to playing Episode 4.

HOLY SHIIIIIIT! This episode was dark as fuck. Burying the starved child/zombie with his pet dog, forced abortions, Holly sucking the skeezy doctor's dick for meds, Lee getting bit, Clem getting kidnapped. Shit is bad. The only bright spot was the potential to get rid of Ben, who continues to be a total knob, but Clementine took the wind out of my sails by siding with him so I couldn't even bring myself to off him. :( In the end, I gave a big fuck you to everybody and went on my own to find Clem. I'm getting her back, come hell or high water, bitches. :maf

Game is awesome. It's probably in part because it's closer to Heavy Rain than an adventure game; it bypasses Telltale's usual bland puzzle design.
Though, and maybe this praising Sony more for bankrolling it, I wish Walking Dead had the production values of Heavy Rain. And while the choices aren't as important as something like Alpha Protocol, the illusion of choice is great and I feel regret at times. Actually, I wouldn't mind if an Alpha Protocol sequel was handled like this (assuming it cost way less to make than Alpha Protocol--this contradicts my Heavy Rain comment).
Something weird about the game is how when your choices add up it makes characters seem bipolar.

Kenny's all "Lee, you're my dude, bro." And a moment later he tells you "YA SELFISH PRICK, FUCK YOU. WHAT DID YOU EVER DO FOR MY FAMILY?!" You mean all those times I helped them? gave your dimwit kid some crackers and stuff? and half a dozen times throughout these four episodes you left me to die!

I'm kinda wondering how my game's gonna turn out, since I decided not to take anyone with me. It looks kinda badass in that trailer, with everyone together making a final stand.
Final episode was nice.
spoiler (click to show/hide)
There's less happening than in past episodes but as a whole it's a great conclusion. BTTF was the only other Telltale game I finished and it had a similarly brief final episode.
Some really nice moments in it. Thought it was awesome when I chose the "FUCK IT, LET'S DO THIS" option and cut up zombies in front of the hotel. Entire ending stretch was nice and sad. Post-credit sequence is such a tease.
As hokey as it could've been, I wanted an internalized vision of the zombification process. Like Lee losing his mind and stuff. Maybe that happens if you make different choices. I can't remember if Walking Dead fiction went into the brain activity of the zombies.
I'm eager to see what Season 2 is about. As far as I know, the only characters who are still alive are: Vernon, Lilly, Omid and Christa, and I think that's it (excluding comic characters from episode 1). Unfortunately the way these are setup, if someone can die, it means they won't be important in the future. It's like Final Destination.
Overall, I really liked it. All it took for Telltale to make a good video game was not to make it a game.
spoiler (click to show/hide)
I think Kenny is going to turn out to be still alive, you never saw him die in the alley.
Just finished this. Was pretty entertaining. The best part of the whole series was in episode 4: spoiler (click to show/hide)
Where you can let Ben fall to his death in the tower. Guy was a burden since day 1 - he got Carley killed, he got Katjaa & Duck killed, he left Clementine for dead, he didn't watch Clem when she went out into the yard, he took the hatchet out of the door that was clearly being used to lock it, and he couldn't even get the armory open. Felt good to get rid of him.
just started this last night...

Pretty cool little piece of content. It's a great idea to setup these characters so we already have some kind of feelings towards them going into season 2.
