Has anyone tried the Insanity workouts? I'm on day 2 and it's already kicking my ass, and I'm in pretty good shape as it is. The warm up at the beginning of the videos are brutal alone.

One of the more unfortunate things to happen to the forum in your absence is that every topic under the sun has an "official" thread now, so instead of a new thread for every related topic we have one giant, unwieldy exercise/fitness thread. I think it's even stickied, but I wouldn't know because I am the laziest man alive.

What is it about Insanity that is so hard, can you elaborate?
I've watched some of the vids and they look intense as shit.
My cousin said the same thing, she had done p90x a couple of times but could barely make it through insanity and eventually went back to p90x.

Waste of time imo since insanity is mostly for losing weight and does little for athletic performance. Several members here have been able to lose massive weight just as quick or quicker by just sticking to a paleo diet. EricP went down several shirt sizes without even exercising.

i started using p90x last week; so awesome. it DOES work, of course, and i already am seeing a difference in my body fat. it helps that i wasn't that out of shape to start with, so i've been able to keep up with all but one of the videos so far.
also fuck dieting; the reason i'm working out now is so that i can eat more shitty food later (doritos tacos... mmmm...). the vid make enough of a difference that i don't need to switch to eating just blueberries and peanut butter or whatever the fuck health nuts think is good to put in you.
