this is embarrasing
-
Imagine shouting FUS RO DAH!!! in your living room until your neighbors (or family) call the police. :lol

I like how Kinect has turned in a microphone for core games.Kinect 2.0 will probably greatly enhance that feature.
Fine by me
-
is sorting inventory a Better with Kinect™ feature? like how Halo Anniversary requires Kinect for binary actions
could you sort inventory before? I've only ever used skyui so I don't know what the vanilla interface was like
-
"Skyrim. Loot body. Keep. Keep. Keep. Discard. Keep."

how this will work irl:

"NO FUCK DON'T RUN TOWARDS THAT GROUP OF ah fuck it i'm unplugging the kinect"

However, don't get the idea you'll be waving your arms around in front of Kinect as you fight a dragon. Combat and casting magic will still be done through the handheld Xbox 360 controller. But simple actions that could be done through menus will be available easier with the Kinect.
"(Totally replacing the handheld controller) would be a whole other can of worms," Hines said. "Doing combat and swinging your sword and all that stuff without a controller would dramatically change the game. We're trying to enhance the experience as we designed it with some additional functionality."

the only thingi 'll be shouting is V IR GIN at anyone who plays it this way
-
honestly i had a brain tart and thought u were eel cuz ur avatar has the same colors
-
You play with a controller and use Kinect for some quick way of navigating the menus. What's the big deal? I'd use Kinect just for "Quicksave" alone
-
mass effect 3 had the same thing going on and it was worthless. i like to play my games pretty loud so the kincet sensor couldn't even hear me clearly over the gunshots and sounds of the characters yelling shit out. a little red mic icon appeared in the corner of the screen whenever it couldn't hear you, and that icon was on the screen almost the entire time i played the game. the ONLY time the thing worked reliably was during conversations. that was actually pretty nice because i could eat food and watch cutscenes at the same time. i imagine skyrim will be no different.
-
I won't be using it, but it's not a bad substitute for the lack of a decent shortcut system.
And I wish things would load as fast as that quickload mockup at the end. :lol
-
Kinect is coming to PC... :whistle
-
Did they ever fix the shitty PS3 edition, or is it still unplayable? I saw about 20 PS3 CE boxes at Fry's last night. May grab one when they drop the price to clear them out.

I was complaining at work about how Kinect voice integration barely works right with Netflix, and someone pointed out that the initial setup includes speaker location pings, to prevent interference. Anyway, if you guys ever have weird voice stuff happening with Kinect, and you've changed the location of your Kinect sensor, re-run your setup.

Update is out,go and yell at TV.
-
Have fun with that. I did plenty of yelling at the TV playing Tiger Woods this weekend at a friends house. The yelling wasn't game commands, but more like where to go and what to do to itself when it got there.
