Mentally, my peak was somewhere in 6th or 7th grade.  I've been on a decline ever since.  I feel old in the sense that my best days are long since behind me and am awaiting decrepitude and total mediocrity :(  I might as well pop in a Lana Del Rey or Death Cab For Cutie album and enjoy the ride there.

I used to get that, but lately I've been standing still while the rest is catching up.

Alternative answer: it just means you're boring.

Age is a boundary, imposed by those that rule the media. 50 corps enjoyed the media half a century ago, now it's about 5.

5 disparate Borg collectives, all wanting the same thing.

Clones and underage sex.

Emotionally I'm a fucking idiot 12 year old, but fortunately I keep my emotions bottled up and repressed for the most part, unless HEY TITS

Not that this is helpful information in any way, but it probably means you take more responsibility for things then you should.  Just go on a rampage at work and you will feel half your age.

In general I feel young mentally, until people my age make me feel much older by acting like fucking distinguished mentally-challenged fellows

I think it has made me less relatable to my peers.

i'm 37 and physically i'm in the best shape i've ever been in. I'd slaughter my younger self. I'd humiliate my 25 year old self on a football pitch. It would be an absolute destruction.

that said - i'm fucking senile! Not even kidding - wife asks me to do something and about 30 seconds later i've mentally deleted the request.

you make being old sound awesome :bow

Mentally I'm still pretty sharp.  I know I'm not as capable as my younger 20 something self, but I also don't binge drink or smoke a lot of dope anymore, and I've acquired a good bit of wisdom in the intervening years so I could probably trick a younger me.

Physically, I'm a mess.  Fatter, slower, balder, more hair in undesirable places.  You name it, I've probably got it going wrong for me physically.  At least I'm disease free, but other than that I kind of view my asthmatic, near-sighted, fat with shitty knees so I can't really exercise body as a prison for an otherwise cool dude.

....
How can you know what it feels like to be mentally 15 years older unless you were... uh 15 years older?  Is this a stealth depression topic?

Same here. Sometimes I think "wait I'm 33 with a job, partner and a bunch of debts and responsibilities. When did this all happen? Why can't I just spend the weekend playing Skryim? ??? "

Like DC though I'm in much better shape than I was 10 years ago. Running a half marathon in 4 weeks, I probably couldn't run 2km 10 years ago, unless it was cumulative distance on a basketball court over the course of a game.

Feeling 10 years younger doesn't make it legal guys  :shh

I don't feel older, I feel more experienced most of the time when meeting peers.
