TF2 and SMNC has real world cash shops where users can sell shit?

Well half of that came from a CS:GO beta key I got.  The other half was just using my other accounts gathering shit and eventually accumulating enough stuff.  It was basically no work on my part outside of finding someone safe to trade with.

There is a whole economy attached to TF2. (http://kotaku.com/5869042/analyst-pegs-team-fortress-2-hat-economy-at-50-million)  It's insane.  I've seen an ultra rare hat go for $2000.

You sold it for cash? I have one that I probably won't use....

I traded it for a TF2 item (earbuds) which I sold for cash.  I'm *really* wary of selling things for cash because of the risk of being scammed and I normally use Steam trade which is safer.  This is the first time I've traded TF2 stuff for cash.  Overall I have probably traded ~$100 worth for Steam games.

Edit:  I just did a quick check for CS:GO keys and they are going for about ~$12-15 now.  I was lucky with getting a key really early.

Ugh, why did I use that CS:GO key. I haven't even played it.

CS:GO keys or presents/trade items?

I don't remember getting one.  I think one showed up in my games list and another in my trade in grid.

Its funny, because you're not metaphorically part of the problem or remotely part of the problem.  You ARE the problem incarnate.  Way to go.

Steam trading is already sanctioned by Valve.  If Diablo 3 were on Steam and I traded for it there, would you still be in a tizzy?
