Title: Best covers of (great) songs?

I was just thinking, Aretha Franklin might have the best covers. She basically made Respect her own; I like the original but there's just no comparison imo. And her voice enhances Say A Little Prayer For You with such a soulful edge to Warwick's poppy (but still amazing) original.
