Is 1313 supposed to have me jizzing in my geek diapers or something? What does it mean?
Hope it's a shooter ala Jedi Knight. No lightsaber shit.
I think Jedi Knight has lightsabers in it. Maybe Dark Forces didn't?
Titled Star Wars 1313, the internally-developed third-person action adventure game will see players take on the role of a bounty hunter navigating a subterranean metropolis Level 1313, beneath the surface of the planet Coruscant.
While the game will make its formal debut at next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), LucasArts announced the game is being development with the help of artists across the Lucasfilm organization, including LucasArts, Industrial Light & Magic, Lucasfilm Animation Ltd. and Skywalker Sound. The game will be based on the Unreal engine and feature full-body performance capture.
Star Wars 1313 will see players utilise "exotic" weapons in a bid to uncover the truth surrounding a criminal conspiracy beneath Coruscant. According to LucasArts, the game will emphasize fast-paced combat--the game's hero will use human skills and gadgets rather than supernatural Force powers. In addition, the game will feature a combination of cover-based combat, platforming and "playable cinematic gameplay".
"Star Wars 1313 dives into a part of the Star Wars mythos that we've always known existed, but never had a chance to visit," LucasArts president Paul Meegan said in a statement.

I see B|3 in that logo?
Battlefront 3 is back?
yeah but force-throwing light sabers was the funnest thing ever.
Sounds like SmallvilleI see B|3 in that logo?

Star Wars BB - no lightsaber, no laser guns, just a BB rifle and farmboy rage
yeah but force-throwing light sabers was the funnest thing ever.
That was a stunt used in the Timothy Zahn books which more or less revitalized the Star Wars novels scene, for better or worse (hint: WORSE). That maneuver was brought into Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, IIRC.

This could be cool actually. If its dark gritty SW and SP focused.
The only good force-less Star Wars game was Republic Commando
it was Shadows of the Empire. I don't remember if that was good or not

I remember doing lightsaber throws in The Empire Strikes Back SNES game...
God. Damn.I get the feeling that the developers won't be able to push the "gritty and mature" envelope as much as they want to because it is set in the Star Wars universe.
Straight outta nowhere. This looks INCREDIBLE
Too bad it's Star Wars :-\
