Ahem,

Fishing!  :rock


I always used to fish with live worms back in the day.  You'd buy a bucket of creepy creatures for a couple bucks, hook them on a line and then send them flying.  Would catch little guys at a decent rate.  Can you catch larger fish with worms?  I wouldn't think so since larger fish diets tend to be smaller fish and why would they settle for some dirty worms. 

Anyone been fly fishing?  I always wanted to try that. 


And apparently these days you need permits (thanks G!), so make sure you get one before you hook some cute animals in the face.

I haven't been able to go fishing in a couple of years, even though I keep a pole and a tackle box in my truck (see: Kentucky).  I'll probably get to do some fishing on a camping trip here in the next couple of weeks though.  Pretty excited. 

If you're not sure about using worms, why not try minnows or chicken livers?

Only fishing I do is cod jigging in the big lake at our cottage. Last time I made fish tacos that were :drool

Last year was a bust though, usually we could catch our limit (8 each) in an hour but we never caught any.

No fishing for kings in Alaska this year for me. My Dad headed up yesterday, gone for 12 days. Then he's going back up with my mom for a week at the end of the month.

We went yesterday in 90 degree heat, not the best idea even in the shade. I didn't catch anything but my brother caught a couple small carp and my dad's friend caught a big ass fish, dunno what type (he said it was a walleye but I'm not sure). We threw everything back though
