This is the model that succeeded my current phone. The store I cribbed this picture from doesn't even sell it anymore.
So I would very much like a new phone. I was looking at the Lumia yesterday and found I quite fancied it. Windows looks real nice n neat.
Is a Lumia 800 worth buying? Any of you xbots have bad things to say about it?
-
I have a Lumia 800. Honestly, I say get any Lumia phone but this. Lumia 800 battery sucks donkey balls and they always say how the next update fixes it but not in my case. Could be a bad unit but I don't hear anyone complaining about the Lumia 900, 710 or heck, even the Chinese ass 600.
If you want a Windows Phone, either get a cheap first generation like the Samsung Focus (best first gen WP) or the Nokia Lumia 710. Because it's not worth spending much when Apollo (Windows Phone 8 ) is right around the corner.

Please buy Lumia 900.

so if I bought a WP7 I would shit outta luck once 8 hits? no way to upgrade, etc? I really can't go until october or whatever without a the ability to tweet on the subway. I mean, really. It's 2012.

Everything will be known about WP8 come the 20th of this month.

no one knows yet if you'll be able to upgrade to wp8. I'd bet my smooth testes that you'll be able to though. They're trying to match Android and iOS. It only makes sense.

a lumia 900 would run me $700, which is a hard pill to swallow should WP7 phones be left in the dirt. I really like the look of it though.
Would have bought a samsung Galaxy S3 or iphone otherwise.

Worst case scenario, this will happen: http://www.neowin.net/news/three-sources-chime-in-on-windows-phone-8-painting-a-similar-picture
I was joking about the Lumia 900. I just had to shill.

it depends on what you need it for. I mean, anything will be an upgrade over your old phone. iOS has tons of apps and game and w/e if you're into that. Windows Phone seems to have a more elegant home screen and ecosystem where everything is connected instead of sectioned off like the iphone. Android...I think you can customize the home screen or something.

It's totally the colorful squares n shit. looks clean and neat. I'll probably play angry birds and take instagram pictures. I don't really use my phone all that much, which is sorta why I've gone this long without a smart one.

iOS and Android always seem chaotic to me now after using WP7. and Live Tiles are so awesome.

Got a Galaxy S3 ordered. It's not the sexiest phone (pebble blues all g tho), but it's got a great screen, easily replaceable battery and a microSD, ICS is great, it will be supported for a long time and it's got some decent accessories if shit like wirelessly playing videos from your phone on your tv sounds cool.

Well I'll be the first person to ask:
What do you want to do with it?
