This genuinely looks fucking cool. Dun have a Vita or the funds for it at the moment but this game is definitely one for the 'pro' column.

It's a pretty game, but I don't think I want to play it with the motion controls again.

This is the second Vita game I'm buying.  I'll finally take Shinobido 2 out of the system! and then Gravity Daze will stay in there until sometime in 2013.

I forgot this game was coming out until my card was charged for it.

whoops.  guess i'll not be playing Ys Oath In Farnargharhghd to completion after all

apparently there was a pre-order bonus?

"This code will give you access to the Military Pack DLC, featuring two extra side missions, two new challenge missions, and a military-themed costume for Kat."

Yeah, there are 3 DLC mission/costume packs:

http://www.examiner.com/article/gravity-rush-gets-costumes-3-packs-of-dlc

Quote
New costumes to experience in Gravity Rush in the recent update of Gravity Rush costumes and DLC trophies have been enabled.

DLC is only available for Asian copies of the game, but it has been confirmed that in the North American release in pre-order copies of the game and at select retailers such as Best Buy and Game Stop will have DLC vouchers packaged with the game.

So far there are three packs of DLC: Maid, Spy and Special Forces.

Each pack comes with extra side story missions and challenge ones.

In addition, costumes come with each pack according to the pack's name.

All the costumes will become available to select upon completion of the 7th chapter of the main campaign.

DLC is purchased through the PSN store, currently only on Asian PSN stores.

Keys are given upon completion of the new side missions, and these keys enable the new costumes.

Players need only to go to the home hub to change costumes.

Pretty cool game so far. I like the little touches, like being able to play around with the camera during the comic book cut scenes.

normally you would buy a system hoping to get at least a dozen good games out of it to justify the purchase, with the vita you get...a dozen games

also, taco mad, hahahaha

haha I picked up the retail copy and again there's no booklet, but I notice a pattern when I take out the cart.  The manual is printed on the other side of the cover.

I haven't preordered this from anywhere, but if I'm understanding the link Eel posted correctly, I can still have the DLC bonus if I pick it up from GameStop?

Hey all,

Quick update. According to the ops team, the best case scenario is around 8pm PST tonight for today's update. The team is working to ensure this is a rare scenario, but thanks for your patience. I'm trying to get my hands on Gravity Rush and MGS myself, and I know the wait isn't making it easy.

Really liking this game.  The two complaints I have are sorta long load times for these challenge missions and how you use the Gravity Slide.  Touching the bottom left and right corners of the screen and steering the vita like a wheel can be unwieldy when pretty much everything else can be done with traditional controls.  I'm doing this race challenge mission and you're jumping from slide to gravity boost and moving from button to screen and back.

Also, the animation is really nice.

rare... scenario?

As far as i'm aware this team has been only TECHNICALLY the right side of "launch day" as we edged closer and closer towards midnight US time.

I mean - it's not like this is a big job surely? Add in that the Vita has had "no games" thrown at it then to get this so wrong when you actually have games? tsk tsk. I know people are saying "bu bu bu having to wait 24 hours for a game mi mi mi" but that's completely missing the point.

Shockingly amateurish

It actually just updated before midnight. Jeeze these clowns.

According to this post

And that is a no go for Gungnir on Vita.

I guess not

Edit: maybe it is as someone claims its up via search so Sony might still be updating or some shit (i don't see the post on the blog yet)

this is reminding me of infamous.  infamous is my favorite ps3 game, so I'm happy about that.

I'm enjoying the style but the story is not without its animuisms

I started playing this game last night. Bought the digital game for $35.99, turns out it includes the DLC as well. The only downside with that decision is that I obviously can't trade it in.

I'm really loving it so; great style, music, and a tolerable, inoffensive narrative. The city seems to be huge, and exploring it using the gravity powers is fun and flows smoothly when you get the hang of them. I just wish I could interact more with the environment. The side missions and gems spread throughout was a good start, but I wish they would have taken it a step further.

My only gripes so far are the lack of retry option mid-side mission; the relatively long loading times when I decide to cancel them to start over; the iffy/spastic camera in tight spots and busy battles; and the weird controlled gravity slide. Luckily the pros far outweighs these non-deal breaking issues I'm having.

The more I enjoy this game the more I become bitter about the lack of similar games on the horizon from Sony, and their disinterest in marketing and pushing it in any meaningful way. I mean, they already started heavily marketing Ascension, a game being released in March 2013, SMFH.

I'd be more ashamed at the fact that SCEE made Resistance: Burning Skies TV ads, and made none for this game.

They're not gonna continue to toss money at something they know is in its death throes. The ad money for Resistance had probably already been spent. You can expect very little advertising for anything Vita from here on, aside from maybe a tag at the end of a PS3 ad when there's a port over.
