It's a lot better than Avadon. Longer, deeper, meatier, girthier. More satisfying.

Good lookin out, always been interested in Spiderweb's games but the interface always put me off.  Avadon was downright playable and I put many hours into it, so I'll look forward to seeing how it all began!

Played this today and I am just up to Silvar. I'm liking it so far, the scenario is interesting and the UI and rpg mechanics are tight. My biggest gripe with it are the simple graphics and missing music, it's a bit lacking in atmosphere.

It really does need some music yes, maybe a couple of tracks by Mark Morgan.

I love the game, by the way. Put in a little over an today, now that I finally beat Dragon's Dogma.

I love how much repetitive crap they cut, like that healing/resting is just done by walking inside a town instead of each time going to the inn. Cleaned Silvar.
