Updates to a five year old game ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH. The game has become too old. You can't infinitely update a game and pretend that's good or even better than a whole new game with new mechanics.
You're basically saying "it's old therefore it is bad". TF2 has excellent gameplay that holds up after half a decade and I'd much rather play it over any Cowadoody or Battlefield game that has "new mechanics".
And if the update is nice, good for you. But what they should have done is the update alone, not the update+this video. The video contributes nothing.
The video is promotional material for their new update. I guess companies should just ship games without any form of advertising whatsoever. :derp

what do you mean, should have been out by now? blizz just finished diablo 3, they're working wow expansion and a sc2 expansion. it'll have priority after those, most likely.

I imagine the majority of Valve is busy making Episode 3 or Half Life 3 and has been busy with this for a very long time.
The rest of Valve was put on L4D and Portal.
With Portal 2 done last year they could either be:
-Working on a follow up to Team Fortress 2
-Working on a follow up to L4D 2
-Working on a follow up to Portal 2
You have to think about what is worth more to Valve.
I bet you want a new Team Fortress but it makes no sense to make one. Right now TF2 is very profitable to Valve and likely takes very little to maintain.
So I know you want a new TF game but there aren't enough of you out there to warrant it right now.

I'm really interested in seeing what Half Life 3 will be. Considering how much bank Valve makes off these community supported games, I wonder if they'll let that business seep into the half-life series. I think it'd be cool if Episode 3 is traditional half life, and then Half Life 3 is something really different. Maybe the debut of a new engine.
I'd be stoked for a Valve made Borderlands/Dead Island style game. Not saying that's what HL3 should be. Maybe Alien Swarm 2!

If you try to put the goggles on the Pyro, it glitches the rest of your inventory and you can't equip anything else to all classes.
Pyro Goggles: The last item you ever need to equip.
