This is the day where Canadians celebrate being polite, and nonviolent cessation from empire?

Is this in contrast to the 4th of July, where Americans each individually act like they're the only one entitled to the liberties we're supposed to be enjoying as a country? God, Americans become such unbearable entitled cocks on the 4th.
