THROW DOWN, GENTS. Vote.
-
I'm going with FarCry 2 as I'm installing it to go give some aid relief to some african mud babies in the form of FIRE!!!! LET THEM ALL BURN!
-
Voted Oath in Felghana since I'm just about to finish it as well. The story sucks and it's kinda obtrusive (can't skip it, and if you mash through the dialogue you might not know wtf to do), but the game itself is fun. Good music too.
-
Trine 2 co-op with me and another person
-
Voted for DX since it sounds like it could be the most hilarious outcome.
-
Portal 2 and Oath are the best games on the list. But Oath is the only one that will get your soul burning.
-
A NEW CONTENDER HAS EMERGED!
:-\
-
Oath and Deus EX are good.

TIE BREAKER

Anyone who is your blizz friend knows the answer: Diablo 3

the results look like they're flipping you the bird with both hands

:lol
I voted Binding of Isaac because it's gud.
-
I guess I got to choose since it was a tie breaker situation. Gonna play Ys because I still don't know why the hell I paid money for Deus Ex, oh well. I'm trying to take a weekend off of D3, we'll see how that works. :P
-
why are you so against playing deus ex. pretty much everyone here agree's it's a great game.
-
I started Binding going through and beating some bosses, did a stupid move that made a boss kill me and i'm back at the beginning of the game?.
did a seinfeldimout.gif

Yes, you're playing a rogue-like. You start over with nothing except maybe an unlocked new character.
-
IT'S A ROGUELIKE.
-
It's hard.
-
Isaac takes 45 minutes to beat. I've beat it about 50 times. Died about 200 times.

I really don't have time for something like that right now :'(.

how much places do you go through before you "beat" it.
-
It's not that many places (two tile sets, IIRC). I managed to reach the end in less than 3 hours. There is apparently also a true ending and a bunch of other stuff you can do, but I haven't touched that part of the game yet.
-
i feel compelled to point out that triumph needs to have his ability to call out weeaboos revoked immediately because he chose ys over deus ex

i spent this morning drinking vodka and playing skyrim. get away from me.

I played a couple hours of Felghana yesterday, then bought Ep 3 of the Penny Arcade rpg. If you have any nostalgia whatsoever for 16 bit rpgs (my one weakness) then you should really check this out. It's very well done and funny.

The first time you beat it, you go through 3 areas (6 floors). This unlocks the 4th area, and doesn't even really count as a win. After you play through it again, and beat all four areas (8 floors), that's your first true win. But there's more. Once you beat the full game 10 times, it unlocks the bonus final area, which is a 1 floor area were you fight the real final boss. But wait, there's even more. Once you unlock a certain item, if you find it and carry it with you until the end, it unlocks the finalest final area, where you unlock the final boss TRUE FORM!!!!!
So basically:
0th Win = 6 floors
1-10th Wins = 8 floors
11th and Beyond = 9 or 10 floors

I'm waiting for the iOS version. Not sure if I need to play the first two...
-
You don't. They sum up the salient plot points of the first two in the first couple minutes of the third.
-
Yup, I played through PA episode 3 recently without having played the first two, and was still able to follow the plot pretty well. Great game, even if it lacks the amount of sidequests Breath of Death and Cthulu has, and Zeboyd really needs to learn how to design more interesting dungeon layouts.
