Title: Tank tops: yes or no

No idea how this trend came roaring back, but when the beau monde and the rest of civilization collectively agreed to exile those drawers full of tank tops to the spare rag cupboard under the bathroom sink, I like to believe it was done for a good reason. Nobody was given permission to embrace them again.

When have you ever seen a good looking man in the wild wearing a tank top? I don't believe this has ever happened.

On the other hand, I'm sitting in a reasonably classy bar having a meal and beer, and I'm being assaulted by exposed armpits and back pimples. We live in a time of confused self-image and rampant narcissism; I don't think people can responsibly regulate their own tank top usage, so it's time to say enough is enough.

And regardless of my previous answer, I'll agree with this.

Unfortunately it doesn't stop at tank tops, it extends to skinny jeans, hots pants, short shorts, and any other form fitting piece of clothing. People are simply losing their grip on self-awareness. Who should we blame?
