Yeah, yeah, typing on glass, whatever, I'm good at it, stfu. If it's one thing Android and iPad both do equally well, it's sucking shit at word processing apps. Can't use Google Drive/Docs offline. Pages seems like it would be okay until it comes to getting your work off and on the iPad, then all of a sudden it's 2005 and you're emailing shit to yourself. Anyone found a decent one? I need something that, preferably:
1. I can edit offline and upload later.
2. has Google Docs access.
3. has Dropbox/Box access.
4. has formatting options like bold, italics, etc.
5. doesn't use markdown. fuck markdown.
6. .doc or .docx support
anyway, thanks in advance.

I remember reading a big article comparing the best iPad writing apps a while ago. I'll go see if I can find it again. Personally I have iA Writer on my iPad but that's largely just due to the fact it was cheap and I had some extra credit still on my account. I've barely used it though so I can't give any sort of meaningful impressions.

Well it's not as extensive as I remembered but I think this is the article I was talking about: http://arstechnica.com/apple/2012/07/ipad-writing-app-showdown-four-apps-enter-one-app-leaves/ (http://arstechnica.com/apple/2012/07/ipad-writing-app-showdown-four-apps-enter-one-app-leaves/)

I use Evernote and Notability. I hear you can get Microsoft Word in Dropbox but I don't know how.

You can make Google Drive files available offline BTW. Long press -> Make available offline.
I'm taking my shilling to the next level here but GDrive really does meet all your criteria, aside from Dropbox/Box integration. But you can share any files to those anyways thanks to Android's awesome intents system. Not the same as full syncing but I doubt you'd find something that kept all three services in sync like you want, in addition to local copies.
PS- I don't understand the hoopla around markdown either.

You cannot edit google docs offline. You can only view them.
I found out Gruber created markdown and now I like it even less :lol
-
Lol I forgot about that. And he even abandoned it too for a while if memory serves.
Yeah I just tried to edit an offline file, couldn't. Lame. Maybe I'm confused cause they might have demo'd offline editing at I/O. I know desktop GDrive does actually have offline editing.

offline editing is supposedly coming soon, but no date yet

If you're on a Mac, Pages lets you sync docs via iCloud between the desktop and iOS apps.
