Twewy was pretty meh. One of them overrated games.

SILENCE
edit: I worked on that game :(
For real? Thats cool man. The music and setting were nice. What did you do?
I have my credits in so many crap games :'(
-
I was the editor on the English language version. I didn't do much though, the two translators' original text was so good I barely had to touch it.
-
Still man, you were a part of it. Half them people in the credits is in management anyways.
-
Would kill for a 3DS sequel but it's probably gonna be an iPhone port of the first game :(
-
A sequel to TWEWY is one of the few things SE could do that I would care about.
-
The Vita exclusives are finally on their way.
-
GREE exclusive IMO
-
The Vita exclusives are finally on their way.
:rofl
:lol :lol :lol

:zzz
-
Totally gonna be a cellphone game or something stupid.
-
It's an iOS version of the original game. Calling it right now.
No, there are people who would actually enjoy that.
Its going to be a trading card game spinoff on Japanese-only cell phones. With overdone voice acting.
-
It's an iOS version of the original game. Calling it right now.
yeah been a few hints to that effect - i'm pretty sure it's a remake/remix and iOS seems like it could be cool bean territory for SquareiOSX
-
I hope so, that way I can finally play this game without having my wallet raped by eBayers. Wait, this is Square-Enix on iOS, my wallet will be raped anyhow.
-
Don't get the pessimism about this - they've been teasing a sequel for quite some time. I'm sure it's a proper sequel, probably for 3DS.
-
I'm pessimistic because I already know what it is.
HD remake on Steam/PSN/XBLA/Androis/iOS with new content and blowjob DLC??! :hyper
-

As in you really know or have a really bad feeling about a guess being true? If its the former then it's neither a 3DS, Wii U, or any gaming console game. An iOS game wouldn't be too depressing for someone like you, ergo it must be Gree.
-
iOS gaming is fucking worse than Ninty gaming dude. Come on.
-
serves me right for having any faith in humanity :duh
-
There's going to be a sequel. It's all but confirmed. Probably on 3ds, but who knows.
-
I hate it when this board becomes hostile towards Borys. He's sweet, and incredibly intelligent when compared to someone, like, Durmian. Let's hate on that guy instead. :hyper
-
I never played the original so I guess I'm interested.
Also, I dislike iOS gaming because virtual D-Pads suck ass. Also, I don't get why people lol at waggle but lose their shit over touchscreen. It works well in some games and fails horribly in others. iOS games are definitely getting better but I still prefer a gamepad. A shame stuff like this never took off: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IControlPad
-
The hate you guys funnel towards Apple and iOS gaming is ridiculous.
Die, fucking dinosaurs.
:rofl DINOSAURS
iOS gaming is doodoo, what is wrong with you?
-

Arrange album incoming: http://store.jp.square-enix.com/detail/SQEX-10337
Also, it says iOS release in 2012... so I guess we know what the countdown is. NEW TRACKS FROM THE IOS VERSION. And KH3D arrange tracks.

Go fuck yourself, Borys. I'm not hating on iOS. I have probably 7x the number of iOS games you do. I'm hating on the fact that we're getting a port of the original instead of a sequel.
See, unlike certain destitute Polacks, I could afford to buy this game when it was released four years ago. I've played the crap out of it. I want something new, and by that, I don't just mean remixing a few tunes from the soundtrack.
No one said you won't get TWEWY2 sometime in the future. Maybe even on 3DS instead of iOS. Being disappointed Square of all companies rehashes the same game on a different handheld system is childlish. They re-released FF3 like 10 times already.
Can you recommend me some good iOS titles now :) ?
I love the idea being circulated that if TWEWY sells millions on Iphone then that means a 3DS sequel.....
.... surely it'll mean TWEWY2 on iphone?
Also - Nthings are distinguished mentally-challenged - port begging a 3DS version of a port of a DS game? Fuuuucking hell.
-
iOS gaming ::)
more like iOS shitty minigames that you play because you're fucking bored
-
iOS meh.
Call me when it has native controller support like Chrome and Android.
-
everyone knows just how much touchy shit is in the actual game right?
This is one game that's not going to suffer from having no native control support.

Didnt it require you to use the dpad when you moved? They gonna have ingame directional pad for it? :yuck
-
cellphone games look ugly and control like shit, suck my dick Borys.
-

Tweetify Shibuya
The world doesn't end with Shibuya. Tap into the internet and populate the minds of in-game streetgoers with tweets of your choice.
i think i can have a lot of fun with this
-
This shit be sizzling yo. I was going to play the DS game but then I remembered mingling and time based pin-boosting, and this doesn't look like half as trashy as the veggies thought, assuming the new controls are as functional as they make it sound lol. But I guess I don't have to wait long for no -shilling impressions.
Edit: it was supposed to be feggits, not veggies. I like veggies though.
-
i'm almost dying of an irony heart attack
"bu bu bu this is on inferior hardware and it uses a whole load of gimmicks that no one wants.... who cares that the iOS platform is the biggest seller ! it should be on a "real" platform" <nthingironyoverloadamalgam>
awwwww - fucking diddums.
-
Old TWENY? Old TWENY.
-
The bitter tears from the fanboys are hilarious.
-
its up on the store now
-
It was indeed masterful, but I can't help but feel its just an appetizer to TGS announcement. I mean any normal, and well well managed company who'd go through the trouble of including TWEWY cameos in KH then shortly releases the original game on a widely popular platform only do so to raise awareness before an eminent sequel announcement in the upcoming weeks. I mean think about it, the right cards are lined up, it makes too sense... Something an abnormal, mismanaged company like SE isn't good at these days.
-
Who gives a fuck about S-E and their shitty products that aren't made by western people when SMT4 reveal is right around the corner?
-
People who want to play jrpgs that seem to have money behind them or don't have 3DS's or any Nintendo handheld.
-
lol,Nintendo boards are on fire "bu bu bu I'm a loyal customer"
-
And they didn't buy it the first time
Sorry
-
Oscar, tell me if i should play twewy on ios or ds
-
Oscar, tell me if i should play twewy on ios or ds
you should probably play the ds version. the battle system is going to be more accurate. i wasn't a huge fan of the dual screen system, which is why im trying out the ios version.
playing chapter two right now, using the touch screen isn't bad. i can't figure out how to activate the partner pin, which is annoying
-
Doesnt look like it works on touch 4, so I'm out. At least I have DS version...
-
poo, didn't notice that. 4s only :(
-
I'm pretty sure it works on Phone 4
-
yeah, im playing it on the 4
-
Um... yes its amazing game Borys. Just know if you dont like how it controls the DS version was the "original" way to play.
-
Hunh.
Word for word that's almost how I feel about Persona 3.
-
But be careful, Borys: I didn't say the best JRPG. I said the best thing to happen to JRPGs. Like Chrono Trigger, it cuts right through the heart of some of the biggest problems with the genre, and while it hasn't been as influential as CT, I have noticed many of its finer traits showing up in a variety of games.
I've seen it said before that Chrono Trigger somehow broke the mold of the JRPG genre (either at the time or in general) and I don't get it. It very much followed typical JRPG structure and tropes and mechanics for the most part - including some glaring flaws typical of the genre, like non-boss battles being almost entirely meaningless and challenge-free - it just happened to be a very well made JRPG. Even not having random battles wasn't all that unusual, even at the time (especially given that it was implemented in a way that had almost no substantive impact on gameplay, with avoiding battles being essentially a vacuous pseudo-action minigame, avoiding battles being pointless given how easy they are and how plentiful recovery items are, and many dungeons coming down to a sequence of unavoidable battles anyway).
-
CT has rpg story pacing tied down completely.
You're always doing awesome shit.
In the first few hours alone, you end up traveling through time into the past, go the post-apocalyptic scarred remains that are the planet far into the future, you then go back to your timeline, stand trial, go wayyyy into the past to kick DINOSAUR ass and get drunk on caveman booze, then you go to a mystical floating island in the sky. Chrono Trigger is a success because it's always involving and always interesting. I think this pacing helped a lot of games learn from it, games like FF8 in particular, in terms of story pacing.
-
Maybe new TWEWY?
