Avalanche (Just Cause series) confirms they have over 250 employees working on games (rumored next-gen) scheduled for 2013 and/or 2014. Around 200 are based in Sweden are working on two games while the New York studio with 50 people is working on the 3rd secret game. Avalanche CEO Christoffer Sundberg confirms that they are Three major games.
- It's great that things are going well for us, but really, I want us to grow as little as possible. There is absolutely no intrinsic value to be many. I think the number of employees is a strange measure of a company's success, says CEO Christofer Sundberg.
The reason is simply that today's big game productions are more extensive than they were just a few years ago.
- Yes, it is as it is with all new gaming consoles and platforms and technological progress. This places greater demands on both the skills and man hours that must be invested to a game to be good. But we are very pleased with our recruiting, we have managed to attract highly skilled employees.
