Title: Wine Connoisseurs - Wine Recommendation List!
Post by: lordmaji on September 18, 2012, 10:39:24 AM
Hey Bory's!

I've been digging Wine lately, this is odd for me. But, Nisha and I have been enjoying random wines lately with dinner and to mellow out before bed while we watch a movie and relax. So on that note...

What wines do you recommend? If you want to, pair it with foods, also making note to list if it's a red, sparkling, white, etc. Tastes, Sweet, Dry, Flavors, Etc. Good spring, summer, fall, winter wines, etc.

Also list your favorites.

Mine as of right now is...

It's a good red wine, very sweet, very enjoyable and refreshing from South Africa. I'm still figuring out what food it would be good with... I've only tried it with Pasta, and didn't find it matching to well. I'm thinking something with more red meat would go well w/ this.

It's a good fall wine imo, very enjoyable even without food. Just a good overall wine.

If only there was a former member who rubbed his penis parts in wine and traveled the world drinking wine and blogged about wine and fucked his wife with a wine bottle....

If only... and if only there was a guy who imported wine and sold it.

MD 50/50 is pretty good.  That's my go-to wine for when I'm trying to impress a ladyfriend.

Whatever you're doing to your friends is between you and them, but don't blame it on the wine.

This is my go-to wine when I'm just out and about.  It pairs well with a fruits as it has a generally sweeter taste.

However, I am a HUGE fan of going to any local winery and checking out what they've got.  I don't know about where you're at (Michigan, right?), but Kentucky is popping up wineries all over the place nowadays.

Yeah, same goes for Michigan. We've gotten a lot more winery's popping up, along side brewery's. It's rather nice to see MI start digging deeper into the field of spirits. Considering how depressing this state has become, we need as many spirits as possible.  ;)

Couldn't say.  I know most sweet reds are made from Concords and Muscadines in this area, but I don't know much else...
