Title: Just bought a new PSP.
Post by: Vizzys on January 09, 2007, 01:32:35 AM
I was under the impression the core pack came with a 32mb mem stick, I was wrong :lol So I gotta wait for my 2gb to arrive.

Anyway its a TA-82  and 2.71, is this page accurate in the downgrade process?

http://pspupdates.qj.net/2-71-TA-082-Firmware-PSP-s-Now-Able-to-Downgrade-/pg/49/aid/77460

Or is there an easier way I havent heard of?

As for the PSP its still a good looking piece of hardware, bright screen, no dead pixels. It has definitely improved feature wise since I sold my old one. That was a launch psp though and was good for nothing but lumines.

yes, that page should work just fine.  i've been on that site many times for PSP hacks and other stuff, so they're pretty reputable.  the PSP becomes a whole new machine once you get homebrew and the PS1 emulator on there.

Congrats Viz

The newest hacked firmware is 3.03 OE-B I believe. So grab that once you downgrade. The process itself my seem weird at first but all you need is the Eboots for Firmware 1.5 and 3.03 and you'll be set.
