So a funny thing happened yesterday. The madre remembered it was my birthday, unlike last year, and she was like "I even got you a cake! And it's chocolate!" (I only eat chocolate cake). So I was like "okay, cool", and after dinner I was planning on having some, only to come to find out that when she said she "bought" a cake, she didn't "actually" buy it, and was saying that she "would" buy it at some point.
