The one I've got is about three years old and it was the cheapest of the cheap back when I bought it. I'm not looking for something super-expensive or overly complicated, but I would like to get something that's a little better, maybe as much as $35-$40. So heap some recommendations upon me.

Increase your budget and buy a mechanical keyboard. It's totally worth it.
We had a thread on them a few months back that may be worth going through: http://www.thebore.com/forum/index.php?topic=38544.0

I only like these two companies for Keyboards so pick away.

I use an HP Wireless Elite keyboard.

Should be like $30. Works great. Batteries last a long time.

Only if you actually use it a lot.
I type full-length novels on my computer, so it's safe to say that I would use it a lot.

Good God man. And still no proper keyboard? :lol

Spin round an extra pole or suck a few dicks and get a Filco.
